Graviola and Soursop are two common words for the same plant, the Annona muricata, renowned for its many health benefits and great taste. “Graviola Edge - Soursop Leaf Tea Blended with Lemongrass” is the perfect blend for taking a breath of fresh air and to relax. Each bag contains 50 grams of hand selected, shade-dried graviola leaves, mixed with lemongrass. The soursop leaves are selected for their maturity, quality and freshness. All of our ingredients are 100% free of chemicals, pesticides and sprays. USES Soursop leaves are regularly used in the form of an herbal infusion. Graviola fruit is also popular, however the fruit does not contain many of the benefits found in the leaves. PREPARATION Shake contents of the bag before preparing as the lemongrass can sift to the bottom. Take 1 to 2 tablespoons of tea, add boiling water and let steep for 5 to 10 minutes over a tea candle. The infusion is ready when the water has turned a greenish-brown color. Filter before drinking. ABOUT US The Graviola Tea Company specializes in providing the finest quality soursop leaves and soursop infusions on the market today. We grow all of our products sustainably in the mountains of Sumatra, without the use of pesticides, chemicals or sprays, providing locals with an additional income and encouraging them to protect their environment.

This is my new favorite breakfast food
This is my new favorite breakfast food! This wonderful tea came in your standard zip sealed plastic pouch, and upon opening I was hit with that one of a kind graviola smell.A bit of background. When I lived in Australia one of my favorite things to do was get up early on Saturdays and walk over to the fresh markets in Davies Park in the West End (if you're ever in Brisbane on a weekend, I highly suggest it- www.daviesparkmarket.com.au) to pick up fruit and veggies for the week. There is always the best selection and I would rush over to get the best of the best. After going a couple of times I made a resolution to myself to try get new to me every time I went, even if it was just another cultivar of mango. Fresh lychees, bitter ball eggplants, warm loaves of pumpernickel bread, it was always a fun flavor adventure. The biggest win for my weekly flavor adventures was the custard apple. Green with a bumpy textured skin that you don't eat, the fruit flesh on the inside is pale and creamy with wonderful distinct flavor that has a pleasant tang similar to mild pineapple combined with creamy citrus in there too. Long story short, I was hooked and custard apples became part of my standard fruit staples and was happily munching on them week to week.Fast forward to moving back to America. Being slightly grumpy about facing a long cold Midwestern winter I wanted to recreate some of the magic, so to speak. This seemed an obvious product to try out because I'm a tea drinker. And boy did this tea come through with flying colors. It has that one of a kind distinct flavor that I had grown to know and love. Whatever they're doing when blending this stuff, it's working. Not too much of a citrus flavor but instead a smooth and complex depth that makes it good for sipping on as I start my mornings while catching up on news and emails. Since I've been drinking this it's put me in a warm and cheery mood, even if the sun hasn't risen yet. This graviola citrus blend will definitely be a major player in my tea collection for years to come. The only negative thing I have to say is towards the end of a cup, there are some very small particles left over in the bottom that the strainer didn't catch. You have to leave a slight bit of liquid in your cup otherwise that last sip can be bitter, but this happens with a lot of steeped teas and isn't unique toTo sum up, if you don't know about or haven't tried graviola/soursop it's definitely worth it; and if you are familiar with it, this is the blend to have. For reference: I'm using a Forlife in mug infuser with extra fine holes (www.amazon.com/FORLIFE-Brew---Mug-Extra-Fine-Infuser/dp/B001JPA3Y8), and an Oster BVST-EK5967-NP digital temperature tea kettle. After warming up a cup with plain hot water, I'll dump out the old water, add the strainer with the tea to the cup, add water at 190F and let steep for 3-4 minutes. That works for me, the standard disclaimer of water temperature and steeping time is a matter of personal preference so adjust and play around to find out what works best for you.

Although the company is a tea company these products are more like herbal infusions and they require a long steeping time
I've ordered all three versions of this company's soursop products. The whole leaves really are WHOLE leaves, and they require the same treatment as any other leaf infusion. Although the company is a tea company these products are more like herbal infusions and they require a long steeping time. You can just throw them in a pot of boiling water or directly into the teacup. They are delicious and apparently really good for you. The basic taste is sort of similar to Peruvian mate, though the soursop leaf has a slightly different taste than the coca leaf.

It seems to leave you feeling in a more relaxed state and is a great tea for any time of day
Lately, I have been reading about the healing properties of Graviola Tea, so I decided to order some. I am mostly interested in the "preventive and anti-inflammatory" properties. After visiting the Graviola Tea Company website and reading about this company and how it is run, I was even more sold on ordering from them. I received the tea a few days ago, which was delivered right on time and I must say, the tea is very smooth and does not leave an aftertaste. It seems to leave you feeling in a more relaxed state and is a great tea for any time of day. Very high quality leaves. I would definitely recommend this tea!!
