Allows them a bit of movement. Can be used on top of a solid chair or by themselves on the floor. **Q: Mine came deflated...any advice ?** A: Inflate it. It doesn't need much air to be "full". **Q: how do i inflate the seat?** A: There is a really tiny pin hole on the bottom that would allow you to insert an inflation device. However, did not come with anything and I’ve never inflated mine **Q: I want the disc inflated more and cannot get it inflated with a pump. This is one he usually recommends, gave an Amazon print out of product so I'd get th3 right thing at a good value. It said pre filled so I didn't purchase one with a needle to blow it up like i saw feom other advertisers. I took it to my therapist and he said it was too floppy and added the right amount of air. Would be good if came with a needle just in case.
