I love love LOVE this brom! I bought the original about 5 years ago, and the initial "mother" plant has produced many pups that have have all now grown to maturity and produced their own pups! The ONLY problem I have--and a minor one at that--is that I can't find anywhere here about what the actual scientific name of this plant is. I'm pretty certain that the one I received is a Guzmania, but would love confirmation of this. Looked back at this purchase from years ago, and figured that I would let any potential customers know that this brom came incredibly healthy, with great looking leaves, grew incredibly well in my dart frog enclosure, and readily produced pups. What else could you possibly want from a bromeliad!? Thank you Costa Farms! (Pictured is a 2nd generation pup that has matured and bloomed in my viv.)

Came well packaged and very good condition with a pretty bloom. Unfortunately I think mine got too much sun. Moved it to a more shaded spot and it is improving.

Unfortunately this plant died. I followed instructions and even transplanted it to no avail. I guess I should have returned it but I chose a different route. I have ordered around 10 plants from Costa both indoor and outdoor and only had trouble with a couple.

It looked great when I got this plant a month and a half ago… and I completely forgot about it. But for not being watered for an extended period of time, it looks pretty good, just a little crispy. Hoping I can nurse it back to health.

I saw some bad reviews and thought "NAH THAT WON'T HAPPEN TO ME" IT DID!! My plant is EXTREMELY SMALL and has broken and YELLOW LEAVES!! I will try to repot it and give it some loving care but I think that I am due a REFUND!!! This company has always had great plants. I have four other ones from them. This will be the last.... UPDATE!! I AM AMAZED AT HOW QUICKLY ASHLEY JOHNSON FROM COSTA FARMS REACHED OUT TO ME! She expressed how sorry she was for my experience and assured me that they would make it right by replacing my sad plant with a healthy one. With this kind of customer care I will continue to fill my office/sun room with Costa Farms!! 2ND UPDATE! COSTA FARMS ARE FANTASTIC! THEY REPLACED MY FIRST SICKLY PLANT WITH A NEW ONE! YES IT IS A BIT SMALLER BUT.. IT IS "VERY HEALTHY AND BEAUTIFUL "! THIS COMPANY IS GREAT!!!

Arrived on time but not so healthy. It looks like shipping got the best of this pretty bromeliad. Don't know if it was the heat or being shaken up as some of soil was in box. Color began to fade and the leaves began to curl the next day even though it was watered. Planted in a larger pot with good potting mix and am trying to revive it. Editing 7/8/'24 It did not work. It is completely dead.
