Warning temperature limits do not work!
So I got the one to charge lithium batteries. Got the software and installed it, that ran fine. However, when I set the default temp limits (charge should cut off if temp falls under 0F, load should cut off at 20F), they do not seem to work. I have my rig outside and it reports solar, battery, load voltages and amps as well as battery and case temperature with the included sensor. The sensor works fine and reports temps correctly. However, I have had a couple days where the battery temp was under freezing and yet the controller was charging the battery. Also, there have been several nights with temps below 20F and yet the unit kept the load powered. This can't possibly be good for the battery, I am monitoring its health at the moment. So word of warning, do not rely on the charge controller parameters for temperature, for some reason it completely ignores them. I can't speak for the high temp cutoffs, but I fear those may not work either. The only reason why I'm not returning it and marking it with two stars instead of one is that my rig will eventually be deployed in a climate that will very rarely see temps below freezing, so for that it may be ok. But, I may have to purchase a new battery.Other than that, the unit works well and the interface specs were nicely published and allowed me to write my own monitoring software. There are a couple of glitches with the registers, not sure if it's the firmware in the unit (calculating power) but I was able to get around that one.

So far so good.
Arrived on time and as described. Directions for installation were clear. I did a temporary instal as I have not decided on where the permanent placement will be on my boat yet. I have two 100w panels connected and it appears to be working as described. It took about five minutes with the directions to program for my AGM batteries. I will know more after a year of use after permanent instal but for now five stars, can’t find a flaw.
