I like these Vitamin D3 softgels because they are small, easy to swallow, and do not have a bad taste. This brand is great so I buy other supplements from them, too. I also did not notice any weird aftertaste, which makes them much easier to take consistently. It is also unusual to find a vitamin-D supplement that is mixed with organic, extra virgin olive oil. I've tried other brands where vitamin-D is mixed with safflower oil, soybean oil, or no oil at all. The specific type of oil mixed with vitamin-D may not make a difference when taken in small quantities unless you are allergic to a specific oil ingredient. Fortunately, WebMD does offer comparisons of dietary oils and the impact, both benefits and risks, that these may have on a person's health. I've touched earlier on the costs of taking a vitamin-D supplement. This supplement has an attractive price point for a 90-count bottle especially when compared to other brands sold at a lower strengths. One drawback of this brand is that these softgels do stick together inside of the bottle (see photo). Separation of the capsules does risk tearing with release of the supplement. While the company states that “clumping” will occur during warm weather, a better solution would be for NatureWise to actually solve the problem as other manufacturers have done already.
