I don't normally write reviews but in this case I felt it was due. I respect all the other reviews written but in my case I have 6 rooms/zones with 2 ceiling speakers each (12-channels). My previous 6-zone, 12-channel amplifier blew up so to find this one at this price point was too good to pass on assuming it worked as advertised. Again in my case this thing worked like a champ. All the speaker wires from all 6 zones runs to my basement and then back up to the next level family room but they are all larger gauge wires which wouldn't fit well in the speaker connections of this unit but that was easily resolved by stripping back the sheathing on those wires and splicing thinner gauge speaker wires to each one. Worked perfectly. The FM tuner in this thing automatically scans and programs all stations found. The Bluetooth was easy to pair with my Samsung tablet which runs my SiriusXM and wirelessly streamed it to all zones without issue. The final piece I use is the USB port which again works great. I plugged in my 64GB USB thumb drive (you can only use thumb drives) and it instantly started playing the MP3s on it. Keep in mind this unit will not recognize any USB beyond USB 2.0. Compared to my old whole home amplifier setup (which ran thru my digital receiver's zone 2) I get better sound and fewer speaker issues thus far with this stand alone amplifier. There was no need to connect it to my home theater system with the FM Tuner, Bluetooth and USB all on board. This system allows me to connect several pairs of passive speakers that would allow me to see what the music would sound like in a client's home or on a radio station. I can use the independent volume controls to easily switch between whatever speakers I have connected to determine if the music is articulating correctly. But that's just one use I have for this unit. I can also use it as a multi-zone system for the house. I can connect speakers in each room and then select what room I want to hear music in. So I may buy another so I don't have to move it from the studio so much. Overall, this system has great sound, the only issue I have is with the remote. It would be nice to have control of each channel's volume. Other than that, this is a great unit for how I am using it. I understand that it also has mic inputs for karaoke and blue tooth which just speaks to its many capabilities. And though it can be used in a home theatre, the channels are only configured left-right plus sub. So you won't get 5 or 6.1 surround. However. I tried this system in a home theatre setup with some Polk audio 5.1 speakers and the sound filled the room nicely. In my opinion, this system is best for multi-channel applications to control multiple speakers. In a retail store or other business for multi-zone function to page people or put on presentations. I love it. it's a great unit.
