Callaway Golf Men's X2 Hot Irons Set

Previous to this set, I was using Ping irons, and I've had the pleasure of trying out all of the big name irons. In golf, it seems like the companies try to convince you that a new set of irons will give you an extra ten yards that will completely redefine your success as a golfer. I try not to think about raw distance but more about control and consistency. As a result, my distance has been slightly lacking. I hit these irons consistently 15-20 yards father than other iron sets that I’ve used. However, it’s worth noting that the loft on these irons is 2-4 degrees stronger than average. The loft on this X2 7 iron is the same as my old 6 iron! So hitting these irons a club farther isn’t really a testament to the irons so much as it is to the lofts.The thing that separates these irons and really sold me on them is how forgiving they are. Flush shots are certainly rewarded with a lovely hollow sort of feel, but shots that are off center were punished by maybe 5 yards loss. That’s almost unheard of! These irons are definitely made to hit long and straight, which is clearly what they excel at, but they are also really workable.I, like virtually any other golfer, love the look of players irons and generally don’t appreciate the aesthetics of the new-age improvement irons. These clubs are a great compromise. They have a slightly larger topline and sole, but it’s within reason. They have a deep back cavity, but it’s kind of disguised. The shafts are phenomenal, and the grips are pretty good. I will be gaming these irons for a long time!

Have played with big bertha irons, x18, x hot n14 combo and now the x hot 2 irons. Played for over 40 years, an 11 hdcp and now at 55 just shot my career low round of 75 off the back tees. the irons are accurate, easy to hit, big sweet spot and despite the obvious changing of the loft, added distance regardless the reason is noteworthy and helpful. Highly recommend the x2 hot graphite irons to anybody, any age wanting to improve their accuracy, distance and scoring lower.

Great irons. Still breaking them in but I have noticed a slight gain of distance, about 5-10 yards longer than my previous clubs as I expected. Great feel on contact. I would recommend these irons to golfers of all skill levels as they are very forgiving and you do gain distance as well.

I only received one iron that clearly had seen better days. Save your time, purchase preowned on Callaway.com if you're looking for a set of lightly used irons

Excellent clubs. Perfect length and weight for me (6' tall with 36" sleeve). Feels more natural to swing than other clubs I tried. Good distance and accuracy.

Awesome purchase from Amazon and got it for a really good deal as well at less than $450 including tax, whereas other golf retailers out there sell this for $600 plus tax. Includes 8 clubs including 4-9, PW and SW.I have been comparing this against the Mizuno JPX EZ and 825 but after reading all the reviews, this is a set that you could grow into, forgiving and very nice looking. Also, tried it first at golfsmith and I was able to handle it better than other clubs in this category. If you are in the market for max game improvement irons, you have to check it out especially at this price point.
