My wife is heading back to education in September and wanted a dictaphone for recording her lectures. Having looked about I decided to opt for this one as it offered a great balance between storage, price and functions.The recorder is really easy to use. I got it working without even looking at the instructions. Although admittedly I had to look at them to delete the silly recordings I made before I handed it to my wife. The microphone pics up voices very well even a good few metres away when spoken at a conversational level. The recordings can be heard clearly through the built in speaker or even better through the headphones.It weighs next to nothing and seems to have an infinite battery! Obviously not infinite but last a long time. Charging from a micro USB is handy so it can be charged in the car if needed.I know most phones now have voice recorders but my wife feels far more comfortable leaving this at the front of a lecture hall rather than her mobile phone.A great product at a very fair price. Exactly what we were after.

Very good audio quality, small, light and compact. Easy to use, does exactly what it says on the tin.I use it for recording ATC audio while flying and it works well, very happy with my purchase!

Surprisingly decent sound quality from such a small and inexpensive recorder, however this was certainly not the case when using the microphone. There was a constant crackle, and I tried other microphones to check if it was just the one that came with it, but sadly not. I will stick to my Tascams for use as Lav Mics, but this is a pretty decent backup for under 20 quid, so long as you're placing it close enough to not need an external microphone.
