Will only reach about 2.5 deep into a recess and 1.76 inches deep over a stud.
STANLEY BLACK+DECKER and Robert Fournier in Q&A section are wrong. This socket is not 3" long. See the pictures included with this review. This socket is roughly 2.5 inches long. The inner hexagonal area is only 1.76 inches deep. This socket will only go about 1.76" deep on a stud (if you're trying to get at the nut). If you are trying to get at a bolt head it will only go about 2.5 inches into a recess or bore.
