Very soft for the baby, and great for getting sound sleep without worry of the baby suffocating or rolling. We even carry it from room to room for nap times. ### ⭐⭐ Difficult to Assemble *by R***D on Reviewed in the United States on January 30, 2021* I purchased this item for my daughter and her newborn son. The first thing that I noticed was the difficulty in assembling the bed. You literally have to fold the mattress in half and shove it in to a narrow hole to assemble it. I had to manhandle the zippers to get them to close. The next thing is the fact that my assembled product did not look like the pictures that are on the Amazon page. The photos show what looks like a solid, firm bumper around the mattress, but reality is that the bumper is very lumpy and soft. I also purchased it because I was led to believe that the cover was waterproof, but it is not. I’m re-looking at the Amazon page, I believe I can wash the whole bed and not just the cover. I will be trying that the next time my grandson leaks through.
