The vet said our collie’s teeth are fine - but a little discoloured. We give her a dental chew every day but it has little effect - then we discovered Sippers fish twists - and what a difference a day makes!! With just 1 chew we could immediately see a huge improvement. She now has one of these every other day and they are doing a grand job. Ok so they smell of fish - a lot - but only for a short time - and it’s so so worth it. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

As a long-lasting chew that keeps our dog occupied for hours - sometimes into Day 2 - these are fabulous.However, they really do STINK. Not so much out of the packet -the Goat Spaghetti smells way worse on that front - but once the chewing starts it unleashes wave upon wave of fishy whiffs.For the first chew, we made the mistake of giving it to her inside. 5 minutes later our living room stank like a Trawler Ship - had to light my most powerful scented candles to dispell the stench. Now we insist she enjoys them outside - even then it's been a bit much on some hotter days!

Tasty fish for my dog

I've tried a variety of different chews for my dogs and found these to be the best. Rawhide didn't agree with my dogs (and isn't recommended by vets due to health risks associated with them) so I started looking at alternatives. Most that I tried my dogs either finished in 2 seconds or just didn't bother with at all. Finally I found a nice middle ground. I have two Alaskan Klee Kai (around 8kg) and these last my male about 5 minutes (which trust me is great for him, he would finish a rawhide in the same amount of time), and my female about 15 minutes. They seem to really enjoy them as well. The only downside is the fish scales flaking off when they eat them which means I need to do a vacuum every time they have these chews, but it's worth it considering how much they seem to enjoy them. Also for those concerned that they will smell because it's fish, they don't smell too bad at all. Yes there is a slight fishy smell but compared to a pig ear? Way better!

My dogs love these. They are good quality, I don’t think they last long enough to genuinely clean their teeth but they make a nice treat.

I wonder if my dog may have hurt his gums on one... he is desperate to get back and chew it.. but instead dances around it and emits a sharp bark. It's happened twice now and it's the only thing he has ever behaved that way with. (He eats ANYTHING and destroys most toys within an hour or so. (Only two toys survive mire than a week). He sets off enthusiastically with it... tail wagging away. But after a short while I get summoned by these high pitched sharp little barks only to see him dancing around it.. dashing toward and away.He doesn't want me to take it away... but I have to or he won't stop.

My Westie dog is raw fed so I try to feed her only healthy treats. The fish skin twists and the fish flatties are ideal. My dog loves them and it’s good for her teeth as well. They also keeps her quiet for 10 minutes which is an added bonus!
