Detergents what ever ones those be, maybe the same thing that is in Techron...anyway, I am a quantum mechanic not an organic chemist but highly recommend wearing gloves and not breathing too many fumes. Gentle removal attempts hasn't worked. Will this product?** A: I have a Kohler bright yellow cast iron tub. A mold encapsulant spray had been applied and nothing I tried worked to remove it. Tougher than any paint. Solvents, waxes, rubbing compounds. Used this and with some work it all came off. That being said, I felt the need to do it for this. Our house was built in the 20s but an addition (with a bathroom) was put on in 1956. This is the original tub. It’s from a sub company of Sears called Homart and you could purchase a trio set of tub, toilet and sink. Our sink is also still original. I thought the glaze in this tub was ruined. I have tried multiple products because we can’t find this color to reglaze. This cleaner is awesome!!! It got out marks that I have been trying for years to remove.
