Totally waterproof as well as shock proof. I love that the screen protector is built into it provides perfect protection from scratches.

This product will do an excellent job protecting your iPod from the elements, without adding too much bulk or weight. My iPod still fits in my front pants pocket without issue. The charging port and headphone port covers seal both areas but are also not difficult to open and close. The material on these covers seems sturdy, but I would anticipate it breaking down a bit over time making the covers more difficult to keep closed. For the month or so I've had this product, though, I've seen no issues.The one problem with this case is the plastic screencover on the front. It is somewhat thin, which doesn't necessarily reduce it's protective qualities, but makes it less form-fitting to the screen. There seem to be almost microscopic gaps between the film and the iPods screen. Sometimes when you are typing on the screen you can feel a little gap in certain areas. This causes sensor misses, creating typing issues. Sometimes I have to click on an app icon a second time or the iPod thinks I am typing a different letter adjacent to the one I am actually typing. I do not have this issue when the case is off, so it's not just a case of me fat-fingering it. If the screen cover was tighter this product would get 5 stars, as it's exactly what I was looking for... Something to protect my iPod without making it bulky and heavy. If that's what you're looking for, this is the best case I've found. The screen issue is a minor inconvenience that only comes up on occasion and I've gotten used to...sometimes I just have to press a little harder.

I feel like my iPod touch can survive just about anything with this case on! Real peace of mind because I use my iPod almost exclusively at the gym and that can be a very punishing environment. One of the reasons I wanted a waterproof case was because I've noticed that when I keep a device in my pocket it gets covered with sweat when wearing gym pants that are made of a water wicking material, so I don't have to worry about that anymore. I also like the fact that it adds some much needed bulk to the iPod which can sometimes be difficult to grab off a table or treadmill shelf, backback pocket, etc. One of the reviews I read on this case stated that you will destroy it to get your iPod out of it and that is simply not true. There is an indentation on the lower right corner of the case for inserting a tool to separate the 2 pieces. I used a dime to make the initial separation, then slowly ran it in the groove up the side until there was enough of an opening for me to separate the 2 sides with my fingers and it opened up with no breakage. I definitely recommend this case!

The microphone is covered by the case so the person you talk to want be able to hear you.

I ordered this for my son's iPod touch 7 after having to buy him a new one because he dropped his old one. I have to say I am very pleased with this case. He leaves it everywhere and drops it constantly and it hasn't chipped at all. Usually, when he drops it the screen will turn black so he'll have to turn it off and turn it back on. With this case even the hardest fall the iPod is protected at all costs & the screen remains intact. Definitely will order again!

Used for 7 year olds iPod touch (7th Gen). Case is fairly durable and decent material construction. Only two real issues.- Gap between case and touch screen causing some responsiveness issues- Charging cover broke off within a week of moderate use by our daughter which now negates the waterproof aspect.Overall the case works as described for shock and scratch resistance and while it drives my wife and I crazy, my daughter seems to have gotten used to the screen gap and it doesn’t affect her usage of it.

I like that I can see the engraving on the iPad, but I drive a truck for a company that has a radio with no Bluetooth, and only an auxiliary port. I could not listen to my iPod until I cut the rubber back from the stem. Really disappointed. Should come with an extension aux cable or cut the headphone port bigger...
