Got for ps4 controllers so we didn't have to be tethered to a headset or wires. It works great with the controller and picks up sound really good. If you are using it and doing a lot of button pressing/tapping of the buttons, the clicking sound of the buttons will be picked up by the mic but it's not super loud and to us tolerable. It definitely beats wearing a headset with or without wires. There's a on the ps4 to change the ingame chat to audio output to tv instead of headset and a box you can check in the settings as well so you don't have to constantly change the settings each time you plug the mic in, change the settings and everytime you plug the mic in game friends will hear you and you will hear them out of your tv....

Saves me a lot of time when searching for videos on the PS4's Youtube app. For it to work properly, go to PS4's settings > devices. Input and output are automatically set to microphone when it is plugged in to audio jack on controller. Just divert the sound/output to TV etc, so you can hear the sound while the mic is plugged in.

For the price im not upset but disappointed that it arrived defective. Wouldnt pick up anything unless i was contacting it physically and or shouting just as close or tapping. Adjustments with different devices and application sound adjustments didnt solve nor change anything to add. This was just a test run with these tiny dongles. Bound to be plenty in the bunch as such , or not, but secondly , how the black housing slid off the upper cylindrical jack portion i recon the contacts were broken at a point before its arrival to me. But still quite a nifty useful device thats inconspicuous and allows your ears to take a breather from gaming with over the ear headsets or headphones to prevent earsweating better healthy gaming habits, convince.Not expecting pro functionality/perfect for eveything. Just need the functionality in my next purchase unfortunately.

Works great! Really like not having a corded mic. The only issue is i have to remove it to sit the controller on the charger.

First day but so far it works for it's intended purpose, doing YouTube videos searches by voice command! Cheap solution because I hated using a bulky headset or tangly wire headphone with my Xbox remote just to search for vids. Picks up the sound just fine and didn't interfer with audio.

I plugged it into my Xbox controller so I could voice search on YouTube, and for that purpose it worked great. I tried to plug it into a different controller when my batteries died and the plastic housing around it ripped right off when unplugging it. I used some glue to reattach, but after that it stopped working entirely. If it was more durable it would be 5 stars, but once you plug it into something you’d better leave it there.

I bought it to use it hads free while we are playing fifa cooperative on ps4 and ps5. it works as expected. we set the output right on the tv so all in the room where I am, can here the chat with my partner. My partner says that hears my voice very well without any trouble.! I recommend it.

I read other reviews stating that you could plug this into a PS4 controller and use it as a microphone and just use the audio output on the TV. I wanted to do this so my son could talk to his friends and I could hear what they were saying. Tried to change the audio settings and it wouldn't work.
