Accent your home with luxury and comfort of 100% linen throw blanket. Produced in Europe by BLESS LINEN with love and dedication to nature and people. Created to enjoy the exceptional benefits of 100% natural linen. Review: A blanket that breathes and feels great - I love the blanket so much I bought two. The material breathes and it has a texture I really enjoy. Review: We're undecided about this blanket - During the hot summer months, we switch out our cotton sheets for linen because we feel it keeps us cooler. But all our other linen sheets are very thin and light--so much so you can cover your face/head with them and still breathe comfortably. We wanted a heavier linen blanket for the rare cool summer night so bought this after reading the rave reviews. First, the positives. The blanket washes easily and does NOT shrink even with a VERY short, cool tumble dry (finishing drying hanging up). The stitching around the edge is remarkably stable--no snags or unraveling. And, typical of linen, the blanket stays cool against the skin so works well in summer. Here's the challenge we're facing. If it's cool enough that a light linen sheet doesn't provide us enough warmth, regardless of the season, then this blanket is ALSO too cool since the linen fibers don't hold onto body heat. The blanket is heavier than a typical linen sheet, but doesn't provide us any additional warmth. We always end up getting out of bed to find a non-linen blanket, if we need any warmth. Our youngest likes to sleep outside in our backyard in a tent. So we started using this blanket as a tent floor covering (no shoes) so our family could lie down outside, protected from mosquitos, and watch movies. That's when we discovered another challenge: the heavy knit of this linen is rough against sensitive body parts like exposed backs, knees, or elbows. We don't use wool anymore, but the scratchiness of this blanket's thick fibers is like wool's, from what we remember. It's too bad because this thick blanket would otherwise be great to lie down on top off (provides a bit of cushioning...). So we haven't found a use for the blanket yet, but because we're such linen devotees, we kept the rather expensive blanket. But it's not warm enough when a thin linen blanket won't suffice, and it's too scratchy to comfortably lie on top of. We guess we'll just keep it as a decorative small bed covering. It's a handsome blanket, just not functional for our family. But it washes and dries very easily and seems reliably sturdily constructed so that we expect it to last a long time.
