After reading other reviews here, I initially ordered a size 16-18 in grey; however, while they just about stretched to fit, they were very uncomfortable for cotton leggings- the fit was more like skintight lycra tights that slightly show your underwear which, while workable for under skirts, isn't ideal if you also want to wear them as standalone shorts.I ordered a 20-22 in the brown instead, and they were SO much better! Fit perfectly, don't fall down at the waist, and aren't overly stretched. The fabric of the brown was softer than the grey too for some reason. I'm 5'10 and they come down to mid- thigh, unlike the smaller size which pinched me painfully on the upper thighs. If you order a light colour I'd be cautious about them looking see- through, but the brown and grey were both fine. I wear them as standalone shorts with long tops, and under shorter skirts and dresses for modesty/ to prevent thigh chafing.In summary, ignore the label size, it's ridiculous- order much bigger than you think you need! ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Sizing has changed drastically since I last ordered *by O***. on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 April 2021* I wear these shorts while playing roller derby or, since lockdown, practicing skating on my own. They don't get caught on the velcro from my kneepads so I'm quite fond of them. I also wear them under dresses for modesty and to prevent chafing.I own 6 pairs from previous purchases; after weekly wear for several months, some pairs were beginning to get holes near the seams where I pull them down after they ride up (because they do ride up), so I ordered another pair.Unfortunately, the sizing is drastically smaller than in previous orders (see photos). At first I genuinely thought maybe I had just gotten that much fatter during lockdown... but as you can see from the photos, there's no way stretch from wear can account for that size difference, especially as the fabric in the older pair (pictured top) doesn't look stretched out at all. The labels say they're the same size.Not sure if I will acquiesce and order a size or two up, or just give up and find another listing. For now though I'll be making another effort to repair the holes in my existing pairs. Patching where the fabric integrity has given up is a pain, hence why I was trying to avoid it, but shorts I can't fit into are no good to me.(Also, they previously arrived in a 2-pack, but now only arrive in a pack of 1.
