She stays engaged in the story and "gets" the lessons being imparted. I am hoping she rereads them in a year or two on her own. We're looking forward to reading Book 3 together.

Great series to read with a new reader
My 6 year old is an emerging reader so we read this book together (as well as Book 1 in the series). She stays engaged in the story and "gets" the lessons being imparted. I am hoping she rereads them in a year or two on her own. We're looking forward to reading Book 3 together.

My grandchild is really enjoying this series. It's very appropriate for kids that are just starting to read chapter books independently.

Makes reading fun
My 8 year old granddaughter has to keep a reading diary for school. She couldn't wait to get home from school and start reading this book. This was her second "Critter Club" book. It has made reading really fun - and not work.

Both kids liked this book!
My daughter liked this book very much because she liked that Ellie learned that she can't think about just herself. My son liked the ladybug song for the play.

Very cute
Bought this for my granddaughter for x-mas. She is 7 and reading chapter books. I haven't given it to her yet but the glittery cover is eye catching and I thumbed through the book and I know she will love it.
