If Only I Had a Green Nose (Max Lucado's Wemmicks)

Some books you just want to read over and over again. This is one of those books. It's another wonderful story about the wood carved people known as the Wemmick's. Punchinello is tempted by the peer pressure of his fellow Wemmick's so that he will fit in. Even though Eli, the woodcarver, gently reminds him that there is no importance in looks and the thing that actually makes us special is our own uniqueness. Eli made them each unique and special. The message to the reader then is that we should see our own selves in the same light and not worry about what others think of us. All of Max Lucado's Wemmick books are entertaining, imaginative, well written, and beautifully illustrated. They have a fantastic message about self-esteem and making decisions to do what's right and not be swayed by what other people think is right. All around another wonderful book and a great addition to any kid's library!

I enjoy this series and think this book os another great way to facilitate discussions with kids about what is important and there’s not a need to try and look like others and chase fads but that being authentic and genuine is much more rewarding.

A great book that teaches kids to be themselves. I love giving this as a baby shower or first birthday gift. Arrived in pristine condition.

It is a really nice story to read after the first book (You are Special). We enjoyed and my daughter learned many lessons with this book.

Please I urge you to purchase this book. It is VERY well made ..sturdy cover.. It will last for a lifetime of beautiful story telling ! The concept will never grow old.. DON"T WORRY ABOUT WHAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE DO OR SAY !!! Worry about yourself.. Don't concern yourself about trying to be like everyone else. How can you go wrong teaching children this lesson??? Peer pressure is a horrible thing... If this book is able to plant a tiny seed in the back of their minds and they can just put into practice at some point in their lifetime .. I am going to be myself .. and be comfortable knowing other people have experienced the stigma of worrying about being like everyone else... it will be worth every penny you invested in purchasing it.

This book is a great reminder for all ages to not follow status quo, and to love exactly who God made you and all your unique traits that make you stand out!
