“A great introduction to the water cycle!”
This is picture book takes us on the journey of Jake and Alice, who are two water drops. The book is super fun and interesting because it not only teaches you about the water cycle, but it also has characters to make the story come to life. I really enjoyed Jake and Alice’s adventure from the mouth of a prehistoric dinosaur to the mouth of a boy who lives in the present time. I learned some new terms like “evapotranspiration” which I had never heard of before, although I’ve learned about the water cycle before. I also learned that water can be found in the ground. It was interesting to learn that water can never really disappear or die, and it just always exists by changing from one form to another.I really liked the illustrations. Jake and Alice look really cute. And the water cycle is also drawn very well at each step. I liked the facts that were shown in the pictures inside of water drops – it made it interesting to read! The glossary at the end of the book was very helpful. What I did not like was the part where there was a hurricane – it was not very clear how that happened. Also, some parts of the water cycle could have been explained better with more details, because it was sometimes hard to understand how one step progressed to the next one.Even though I did not give this book 5 stars, it is still a very interesting book and I know I will enjoy reading it over and over again!Dhruv K., age 7, North Texas Mensa

Just alright..
It's a cute story and concept, but the length is kind of absurd for young learners..
