Why is this advertised as antique silver but when I got it it is silver?

It's not silver... it's a tad darker that's why I think it's called antique silver. It's beautiful and if you put real silver next to it, you can see the difference. But if you have an issue with it I suggest you contact the seller your got it from and ask them. I'm a customer who bought one and I love it. Hope this is helpful for you.
