Full Uncut Version in glorious gory HD... A horror fans dream
Great to see Evil Dead 2013 in all it's gory glory, this version was mistakenly shown by channel 4 once on tv but has never been shown since and only the theatrical cut is available in the uk.... so thanks to those lovely Scandinavians for releasing the Full Uncut Version on bluray..

Great in its Own Right (Try Not to Compare!)
I actually really liked this! I expected not to since I'm a fan of the original, but it's been a good year since I watched that one so I was able to give this a fresh perspective without comparing it too much. Anyway, I thought it was really good -- great set, great cinema shots, good gore, slightly cheesy (cuz seriously, what person in their right mind would stay after even 1% of the first scary shit) but still good acting. Overall really well made. Couple little homages to Bruce Campbell with the chainsaw and arm chopping. I didn't like this version of the Necronomicon as much. Of course this one is more "serious" and missing the campy charm of the first, but it's still a good, solid, enjoyable horror film.

Not a patch on the original Evil Dead, but a good attempt at remaking cult Horror of the 80's
Not a patch on the original, but as a child of the 80's I was lucky enough to watch the original horrors that have all been re-hashed over and over since. But nothing in this film truly captures the claustrophobic atmosphere of the first Evil Dead. That film really did scare me back in the day. This film is ok, but not 5 star material.

Worth A Watch
In a nutshell, five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they suddenly discover a Book Of The Dead, then unwillingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods which possess the youngsters in succession until there is only one left in tact fighting for survival. For once we might not of got a censored version because I'm pretty sure the knife licking scene was left intact, alright film, worth watching if your a horror fan.

Oh dear, oh dear! Yawn.... Yawn....
This movie is ok for newbie in the horror genre but for the seasoned ones, don't bother! Trust me, go and watch instead the Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. It will be worth your time. At least you will laugh and not yawn. I had a very hard time to finish this movie. I was bored to death!!!

It's the B movie you've been missing.
Kinda average horror flick based on the classic Evil Dead series, got a few twists and turns to it from the original and some fairly unrealistic reactions to nasty injuries (a lot of gore about). Reasonable effort, Probably worth a viewing but not a purchase. As a side note, if your hand is ripped off in a car accident and you do nothing to stem the flow but tuck said injured arm under your other arm you will probably bleed out fairly swiftly.

Great film
This is a fantastic film. Gory, gripping, and downright intense. It is a world away from the original, because it’s pretty much a different one. The original these days is viewed as ‘classic’ if somewhat dated, and certainly not much of a horror. This is a good horror film, which is very rare these days. That is, if you like jump scares and gore in your horror films.

Really enjoyed this update
Really enjoyed this update, its not perfect but its a pretty good re-do. Extended cut is about 5 mins longer than regular version - which is great if you liked the film. [contains a few deleted scenes and little extra blood and gore shots]
