Works as intended and I used this for multiple oil changes in my 7.3 powerstroke. Works great as a filter but the nut that's welded on is hardly helpful. It doesn't have enough of a face to bite onto so the socket or wrench just cams out and pops off. Price is decent and I'll use it if I can't find any motorcraft filters for the right price.

I spent an entire day trying to get a cheaper brand filter off of my old F250 that somebody apparently put on there without lubricating the seal. I had to tear it up and manufacture a tool to stick into the filter holes and use a 4' pipe and a blow torch (no kidding) to finally get this thing off. So, after that, I swore it's nothing but K&N filters for me if for nothing else, for the 1" nut attached to it for taking it off. This thing is so easy to change because of that simple little design, besides the fact that it's the best oil filter anyway because of it's better construction and filter media. It's worth the extra $5.00 over the cheaper ones.

Easy spin on installation with nut on bottom to easily tighten or remove with common adjustable wrench. No need for for clumsy band or strap tool.

Have had my 1996 F250 diesel since it was new. Have been trusting the K&N filter and synthetic oil for decades to keep the engine in good condition. A small annual expenditure for peace of mind and continued excellent performance. Also use K&N filters on my field & lawn equipment. Simply proven, reliable products.
