Love what this does for my skin!
This one really surprised me! I’ve tried all the other foundations from this brand but it wasn’t until their makeup rep color matched me with this that I really knew what I had been missing. It’s light weight, mixed with hyaluronic acid to smooth out your skin and just enough coverage to give you a nice even skin tone that looks natural. I have a lot of redness to my skin so I was surprised what it offered me. I follow up with either the press powder or loose to add a little more coverage and some SPF but I really like the base it gives me, even on its own. I just use my hands to blend it as I find the warmth of my hands breaks down the little color balls to blend nicely. This is now my favorite! And just as a side note: if you’re struggling with breakouts or flare ups and hesitant to put makeup on it, I find then when I use Jane Iredale makeup on upset skin, it’s actually calmer by the end of the day. It really does benefit the skin.

Nice foundation
I am 52 and I have been using Jane Iredale for about a year now. I love their products. I was using the BB cream but I felt that it was a bit too heavy for my skin and it shown my fine lines too much. My 19 year old daughter loves the BB cream because it covers her acne nicely and lasts for hours but you have to make sure you use a good face lotion first especially if you have dry skin. I decided to try this foundation and I love it. I have oily mature skin and wanted a foundation that was light and this worked out great. It is kind of strange the way it feels when it goes on. It has a gel base but it goes on nicely. When you first buy this you have to pump a few times until you see the color come through. You will see the clear gel first but only after a few pumps the color will come through with the gel. I use my fingers like any other foundation and it goes on nicely. I use very little at a time. It's very lightweight and lasts all day. I do not use powder at all. Even though I have a nice lightweight mineral organic powder, powder is not a friend to a woman over 40 because it shows all your wrinkles. This foundation alone is enough. Because I have oily skin, after a few hours I just use a clean tissue to blot my skin and it still will look great. Highly recommend.

Best product I have ever used. I can't live without them and clean beauty a bonus.
I see there are some bad reviews but I love this product. Think tinted moisturizer only with hyaluronicacid super moisturizing because it draws water from the air to your skin. The tint is buildable by adding another layer after you have blended in the first. Plus its light reflecting and you can't tell it's there it looks natural. I have super dry skin but since I have been using the liquid minerals my skin never feels tight and dry. This product worked so well I have also purchase the moisturizer and the regular hyaluronicacid. The best products I have ever used. I can't live without them and clean beauty a bonus.

Nice and lightweight.
I like that it is very light to just give me some color, not a layer of foundation. You have to be careful to put it on smoothly at the start so you don’t have to add too much to even out the color.

DISSATISFIED?? PLEASE READ THIS!
First of all, I do not work for Jane Iredale. I have just used her products for many years. I LOVE this foundation and I love Amazon, however...if you want to be absolutely sure you are getting the freshest product then order from the Jane Iredale website. The cost is absolutely the SAME and you get free shipping too! This product is not, I repeat, NOT a full coverage foundation. If you need that then try her BB cream. If you want something in the middle coverage-wise, use the mineral foundation and top it off with a light fluff of their amazing base powder. Feels like you're wearing nothing yet the result is gorgeous. I am 66 years old so you know I have skin that needs more coverage than I used to ... this combination even works for aging skin. I have also tried mixing just a teeny bit of BB cream with this liquid mineral and that provides very nice, long-lasting coverage too...but, of course, doesn't feel as light on the skin. The other thing about dealing directly with Jane Iredale is her customer service. A.MAZ.ING! If you're not happy with their product, call them. Not only will they refund your $$ immediately, you keep what you bought and they will send samples of what you would rather try so you can be sure you like what you get instead of hating their product and never trying it again. I have used this foundation for years and only ONCE have I had a blending issue and that was when I ordered it from Amazon. To be fair, I have also ordered it from Amazon other times and it was great. But the customer service makes ordering from jane Iredale a complete win-win.

The best! Many compliments while wearing
This is the best foundation I've ever worn. When you put it on, it looks like your skin. Even with a closeup mirror, you can't see the makeup once it's blended. On at least three occasions in the last two years, I've had strangers compliment me on my skin when I was wearing the foundation. This had never happened before. Unlike other foundations, I've found that over the day, it looks better and better. It's the first foundation I've worn that doesn't look flaky or get discolored as the day goes on. When I take it off at night, my skin feels better than if I'd not used it at all. Hydrated, I guess. I think if you're going for the natural look, this is a good product. It does give your face shine, but in my opinion, shine makes a person look healthy. If you have acne problems or oily skin, I wouldn't use this, but I think that the drier your skin, the more you will like this product. If you really can't stand the shine, but you love the color you get, I would pair this with one of Jane Iredale's powders. I have the translucent powder, which I use on occasion. I love the translucent powder because it has SPF and you can't see that actual grains of powder on your skin. I would go to a retail location and test the different colors before purchasing. Use Yelp to find a location. Once you find the right color, I think you will love this product!

Good tinted moisturizer!
This is my second purchase of this product. The first one I returned when I was deep into the whole “clean beauty” BS that ravaged my skin (seriously, it’s like I aged 20 years in 7). My clean-beauty skin (the first time purchasing), was so red, irritated, and inflamed, this product was completely useless. But over the last year I’ve rebuilt my skin barrier with various, properly preserved products. My skin has never looked healthier! Although I’ve moved on from other JI products, as someone with Sahara-dry, post-menopausal, acne-prone, hyper-sensitive skin this is gold… as a tinted moisturizer. I recently repurchased this, and with clearer, more even skin now, this is amazing! But definitely with a learning curve, and approached with curbed expectations. As someone with rosacea and a mast cell disorder that’s easily triggered, flaring my face, neck, and forearms so red they look purple, this product is more of a complexion evener than a cover. But, in my inching-on late-30s, I care a lot less about looking perfectly intentional every day. Some days I just want a light layer, sealing my skincare and adding separation between my skin and external irritants. (Seriously, if I just do skincare and leave my house, I’ll wake up looking like I smeared pizza all over my face the next morning. And I use Vitamin A….) For simple, just-wanna-protect-and-even-out-my-skin-tone days, this is perfect. OK, fore-story stuff over. Moving on. Here are my tips: When you first get this product, the first few pumps you’ll just get the serum. Rub that onto your hands and up your forearms, and move on—the pigments settled with gravity, no biggie. The next couple pumps will produce the serum with burst pigment capsules. The capsules have to be manually manipulated for them to fully break down. But, the warmth of your skin will help, so don’t fret if it’s still a little chunky when you apply to your face and down your neck (for consistency. I do any visible upper chest, too, to make sure I look even and not like a disjointed head…). My favorite way to apply is with my fingers for a tinted moisturizer look. I pump 3-4 times into my pinched fingers, then rub both hands together to work those pigment capsules out a bit more before applying to the face. Finger-application melts the serum tint beautifully into the skin. But the coverage is weaker. (Also, if you’re fair like me, just give your skin a moment. Don’t freak if you get pink after touching your skin. Give the product a chance to set and even your skin tone out before judging it and potentially removing it prematurely—I did that prior. Oops.) The next application method I do for a closer-to-medium coverage, is to pump 4-5 times onto the back of the hand. Take one finger and blend a bit (just one as to not waste as much product). Then, I take a buffing brush with just a *little* give and quickly pounce that all over my face. (If you work fast, you can apply with hands first, then very quickly take another pump or two with this brush technique to give you even MORE coverage. However, if you don’t move fast, it will absolutely pill, cake and clump.) On top of skincare, I use the Good Molecules Silicone-Free (this product will slip right off a silicone base) Moisturizing Primer with it, and it’s gorgeous. For dry skin like me, there’s no need for a powder. However, a tinted powder will definitely give you a medium+ coverage, if that’s what you’re looking for. I just don mine with some mascara. Maybe a thin eyeliner to add some pop to my seemingly tiny eyes. And this is stunning, and incredibly gentle on the skin. —— Sorry for such a lengthy review! I just always want so many details when I’m reading other’s reviews, so I’m projecting onto you. Lol. I hope someone finds this helpful!

LOVE LOVE LOVE
I have always been one to bounce around and purchase all kinds of different foundations. I'm on my 5th bottle consecutively of this foundation.. I feel like it makes my pores disappear, it's very light weight with light coverage, it's like my skin but makes my skin look better. It is better for drier climates, if you live in a more humid climate you might want to use A oil absorbing primer Or one of the loose powder foundations. But I love this, it works amazing for the dry climate that I live in. And I'm not a 20 year old with perfect skin, I'm 50 and and I'm very happy with this.
