Comfortable and well made boots
I had a pair of Bates boots that were similar in style to these. The Bates were good boots and lasted 5 years. These Reeboks are a lot more comfortable due to the extra padding throughout. Seem to be well made and they look good too.

Not as good as converse
I have been wearing these boots for about six years now , they were previously sold by Converse. When Reebok took over the price jumped by fifty dollars . I have worn them on several deployments and so have many other soldiers/sailors I know. I find it shameful that they would gouge a support customer base like the US service member who made this product successful . I am happy to see that the price has finally come down to where it was ( from many complaints I'm sure) I WOULD NOT recommend these boots .UPDATE: 7/24/14 .... I have purchased two pair of these boots since my original review ,both started splitting at the side within 3/4 months , THESE ARE NOT THE SAME BOOTS PREVIOUSLY MADE BY CONVERSE !

Nice boot, but not wide enough
I was excited to get these and really wanted them. I ordered 11W. Not wide enough by just a little. Where the zipper comes down towards the arch, it put a real pressure point there on my foot. Further up where the tongue meets the sides of the boot, there is some extra stitch and material that rubbed both side of my ankle. To be fair, I do have bigger, more muscular calves, so that may have been a contributing factor. The quality and workmanship of the boots looked great, but I just don't think that even breaking them in would have helped. If you have a bit wider than wide foot and/or bigger lower legs, then this boot may not be for you. I really wanted to keep them, but it just wasn't meant to be.

Bought the safety toe version for work
I bought a safety toe version of this boot for work and I have to admit that they support my ankles great and are very comfortable. For a person with wide feet I have issues with many safety toe boots. They size ran 1 whole size smaller than most other boots but that's not really a big deal. I had to take away one star though because I had to replace the laces in a month and they are very thick up towards the top which kind of holds in heat. This last part isn't a misrepresentation from reebok but was a huge misrepresentation from Grainger where I bought them from. Grainger said they were slip and oil resistant and would be great for the machine shop I work in but I had my doubts because these boots are made for outdoors but I bought them anyways. I found out the hard way that they don't do well on smooth slick surfaces. If your looking for a great fitting boot for outdoors then these will fit the bill without a big bill.

Painful to wear, do not breathe, and sized too small.
I had a pair of these by Converse and loved them, so I was disappointed that they were no longer available. However I thought that the Reebok version would be as good. I was VERY mistaken. These boots have a reinforcement between the layers of material on the sides toward the heel that ends just below the outside of your ankle bone and with every step you take this piece will impact the underside of your ankle bone and rub it raw in very short order. They also don't breathe the way the Converse boots did. In short, these boots are VERY POORLY DESIGNED - they are physically painful to wear, they are tight in spite of getting them a 1/2 size larger than my normal size, and they are HOT. My best recommendation is DO NOT BUY THESE BOOTS.

DO NOT BUY!!
I ENTIRELY agree with others here, the workmanship on these boots is horrible! I just received mine, and the commenters here have mentioned the tongue of the boot being uncomfortable. TRUE!! Do not buy these!! Trust me, or go ahead and do what I am doing right now, RETURNING. The pictures one commenter placed in here are on target. When I was in Kuwait and Iraq, my regular combat boots were actually melting on the asphalt. The hottest ever experienced in Kuwait was 153!! So one of my buddies over there told me about converse. If not mistaken it was model C8894. I bought them in 2008, and I still have them. Unfortunately the soles are coming apart, but man what a comfortable boot that WAS. Reebok messed up badly on this one. Obviously they went with a different Chinese Manufacturer that didn't follow the original design wisely. Or Reebok decided to implement the design in order to save money on the patent. Either way, DO NOT BUY unless you want to have what feels like an acorn on the inside of your ankle. I bought this pair of boots from Reebok online, so I cannot return these here. As I type, I have been on hold for 48 minutes!! Never buying a reebok shoe again, period

Not as good as Converse brand.
Bought these because I was looking for something similar to the discontinued Converse boots . After wearing them for about 6 months, I've noticed that they are not quite on par with the Converse boots.-These boots require a break-in period unlike the Converse boots. Took about 2 weeks to reach the level of comfort that I got with the Converse boots right out the box.-Don't seem to last as long. I'm usually able to get around 10 months out of the Converse boots before replacing them. I'm currently on month 6 with these and I probably should've replaced them a month ago. On the outside corner, right behind where the safety toe protection ends, there is a long, vertical tear in the leather that runs from just under the shoe string to the bottom of the leather on the boot. That same tear is starting to form on my other boot as well. With all that being said, I still love the style and I still say once they're broken in, they are very comfortable boots. If I knew they would last more than 5-6 months, I would absolutely buy another pair. Keep in mind that I wear these 10 hours a day, 4 days a week on very rough, rocky terrain in some extreme conditions (-4°F weather - temps above 100°F), so others may have different experiences.

Comfortable but slightly larger than I thought..which is a good thing
When they say order a ½ size smaller..they aren't kidding..thank goodness for my extra wide feet...These come oversized about ½ a size to fit heavy duty work socks i'm guessing..I'm operating a stand up forklift 10 hours a day and these aren't bad the first 5 hours...but get yourself better insoles...low or non existent arch support...heel support is pretty okay if you are lighter than 200lbs...but do yourself a favor and buy better insoles
