She has three American Girl dolls, so this was perfect when I saw it. She has one bitty baby, one of the twins, and one of the just like me dolls. All of her dolls fit on the bed. The bed is made of plastic, but it is a very sturdy plastic. It doesn't look cheap like some off the other doll beds we have seen at stores. The ladder is obviously just for looks, but it adds to the whole "play time" aspect. I also was very impressed with the way the bottom bed rolls out---the rollers work well and don't get caught up on carpet. It is also nice because my daughter likes to bring that one by her bed and have a different doll on it each night.
