Revised review July 2015: I've used this product for a while now and I am just elated! I'm amazed how well it works. The shine on your hair is beautiful. My hair looks super healthy. I've gotten more compliments with this product than any salon or over the counter color I have ever used. You must leave it on twice as long but its okay because without the ammonia its not itchy and doesn't stink. No parabens, no resorcinol, no silicone, no parafin, no heavy metals, no artificial fragrances, no formaldehyde. *** IMPORTANT!! One thing I do need to add is I use a non toxic shampoo and I STRONGLY believe this is why my color lasts soooo long. I go 3 months with out reapplying. My non toxic products you cannot buy through amazon, its only through product consultants but again i STRONGLY recommend trying a non toxic shampoo...not just to help your color last long but because its the healthiest choice overall. [email protected] First review: I really thought this wouldn't work because of the lack of chemicals used to set the color in but I am truly amazed. I did leave in the color about twice as long as I normally did with my other amonia/toxic brands.

This is THE best hair color you can get out there!!! The color itself is excellent..covers well and looks so natural. My integrative doctor recommended it because I have some autoimmune issues and this color is very mild on the scalp and is non-amonia based. I have no burning or itching and there is no strong odor. When you buy the six pack, the price is about $8.20….less than the average good hair color that you can buy in the stores and a much better price than if you bought just one box at Whole Foods. I have never gotten so many compliments on my hair! I give Naturtint the highest rating!

Been using this product 10+ years and am very happy with the performance. The color is rich and it continues to cover the gray permanently. Some commenters say it fades; I find that minimal. It's normal for the shaft of the hair to be a little lighter, and I think that makes it look natural and less like colored hair. I only color my entire head of hair about 2x per year. Fading is minimal. And I use color 4N, so it's dark. Use the right shampoo and it'll fade less but the only way to get no fading is to stay out of the sun and don't use any heat on your hair. Not realistic. For many years I used this hoping its claims of being natural meant it was -non-toxic, but the Environmental Working Group hadn't rated it. Their rating finally came out a year or so ago and I was disappointed that it's 8 out of 10 for toxicity. Pretty abysmal score. I'll still use it since it doesn't have a horrible ammonia odor and it works, but I'll keep my eye out for new products that are less toxic. The 3 ingredients this gets the worst toxicity scores for are Fragrance, PPD and Ethanolamine. Fragrance seems odd since it has none I can perceive, and it needs none. Last thing, I hate the new quinoa conditioner they put in the box. It makes my hair feel dry and wiry. And now I have a new tube of this every time I color. Not thrilled about having to toss this in the landfill every month. They used to put shampoo, conditioner and leave-in conditioner packets in each box, but no more. Sad.

I started going gray in high school, and began using permanent hair dye at 24. Now I'm 53 so I've used lots of hair dyes, professional and drug store. I discovered Naturtint from my hairdresser. I was moving away and wouldn't be able to have her do my roots anymore, so she turned me onto a secret: NATURTINT. She said "I'm gonna tell you something.... this covers gray so beautifully, and the colors are wonderful." I've been dyeing my hair at home with it ever since (17 years!) and I've turned other people onto it too. When I have my hair cut professionally a few times each year and when I tell them that I dye it myself with over the counter dye they always say how good it looks. Plus it doesn't contain any of those harmful chemicals that are found in hair dyes - especially the brown and darker hair dyes. I buy it in bulk on Amazon because it's less expensive than buying it monthly at the store. I save so much money dyeing my hair myself with Naturtint!

I bought this because the Hair Color made for men was making my chin miserable. I have a goatee and although I sometimes like sporting a grey one it's fun to "young" it up a bit with some color. But the other one lasted about 10 days and really irritated my skin. The order does come with 6 boxes and each box is a one time use. No smell just instead of waiting 5 minutes you wait 40 but the results were worth it. Gentle on my skin, great looking color, my skin didn't dye and it's already lasting longer than the other one. And the grey is gone and it looks really natural.

Although I have not used my new batch yet with the lighter tint than my previous one, I have every confidence that this one also will measure up. I always look forward to using it because it makes me look 20 years younger. My hair looks fuller, shinier and perfect color every time. With every order of 6 boxes I take it down a notch with a lighter shade. Thank you Amazon for selling the Naturtint at an affordable price.
