SP-4 Spray lubricant and cleaner Shaver Shaver - For all Shavers & Groomers

This product will greatly extend the life of the foil and cutter blades of your electric shaver. Back in 2009, I purchased a Panasonic electric shaver from Amazon. It was a very nice unit. The whole kit included a cleaning stand. The stand cleans and recharges the razor. You can choose to choose to just clean just recharge. You can also choose to do both. The newer models will not give you the option to just clean. Anyway, you can probably still find my review of the Panasonic electric razor from back in 2009. The foil and cutter blades on that Panasonic electric shaver lasted 7 years! No typo. The foil and the blades lasted 7 years. I used the razor 4-5 times each week. I only used the cleaning stand twice per week. But I always sprayed the foil with this lubricant before every shave. I give credit to the excellent Panasonic cleaning system and this Remington lubricant for the longevity of the foil and blade set. Last month, I bought the Panasonic Lv-93K. It also came with the cleaning stand. I have not opened the box yet. But be assured, I will spray the foil with the Remington lubricant before each shave. I recommend this Remington spray lubricant to every man who uses an electric shaver. This will greatly extend the life of your foil. Credit must also go to Panasonic's excellent cleaning cartridges and the cleaning stand. But this Remington lubricant will also work for other brands of electric shaver. I used it briefly on an old Norelco Quadra and that ancient unit ran smoother after lubrication. Do yourself and your shaver a favor. Use a lubricant before shaving. This is especially beneficial for high speed shavers like the Panasonic. The Panasonic razors move the blades at a very high speed. Lubrication will help decrease friction and heat. Thus, your foil will last a lot longer. And your shave will be more comfortable. The faster the blades are moving, the less pulling on your beard.

I spray Shaver Saver once a week on the head of my Remington shaver. I love this product. It cleans and lubricates the cutters and foil head on my shaver. My shaver seems to have more power and runs smoother. it also seems to extend the life of my shaver. I've had my current one for four years.

I had their old formula (had a hint of aftershave fragrance in it) stored for a number of years. I finally ran out. I had purchased it an the old Fedco store here in the San Diego, CA area back in the day. This new stuff smells like an industrial oil (3 in 1 anyone?). However, it does the same thing that the old stuff did, it just doesn't smell as nice (not that I liked the old "Mennen" aftershave smell, but it was better than the new "lubricating oil" smell). As long as it cleans and lubes my razor without having to tear it apart, I am good...

2 year update: After two years, my shaver saver can is still over 2/3 full. I use this about every 2-3 weeks, a little spray on the blades, foil, and trimmer. My newest razor shows me a little "water" icon when it's time to clean it, which is pretty much every 3 weeks or every other charge. This one can will probably last me 6 years. Original review: The can I received has a sticker on the cap that says "New with more lubricant". I notice first the lemony odor when spraying, and if I keep trying to smell then I can detect a lubricant smell. If you use it at arms length and aren't trying to bend over and smell it, you may not ever notice the lubricant smell. I use as directed; on a cleaned and dry shaver foil and heads, then reassemble and run the razor for 10 seconds. The next day when I grab the shaver and use it right under my nose, I don't smell anything unpleasant. A very slight lemony scent, and a slight lubricant scent. It's barely noticeable. I cannot imagine anyone trying to use this to "clean" a razor, the spray is too wide and doesn't have enough force to clean out hair. It would waste a lot of the can even trying. Please clean your razor according to its own directions, using provided brushes, etc. IF it is wet-dry then use water and a touch of soap as directed. Your razor manual tells you how to clean it. You can add a step of blowing out harder to reach places with compressed air if you like. I don't have a problem cleaning my razors. I got this because my Panasonic Arc3 ES-LT41-K http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-ES-LT41-K-Electric-Flexible-Pivoting/dp/B005DKKBRY doesn't have any directions mentioning lubrication at all. The similar ES-LT41 products use cleaning cartridges which would lubricate it while cleaning. I wanted to keep this razor in top condition and so I wanted to add a lubricating step to my maintenance. This razor is wet-dry and even has an ultrasonic cleaning mode by holding the power on button down for a few seconds. Getting this razor clean is super easy with just water and a touch of soap. So, I clean it, leave it all open to dry, and come back later and spray this Shaver Saver on the foil, cutting head blades, and the trimmer, put it all together, let it run for 10 seconds, and put it away until the next shave. I do this once or twice a week.

I love how fast this cleans and lubes all in one blast, just use outside! If you're inside / in a small closed space / bathroom, the fumes are flammable so internal sparks from some shavers (that you cannot see) will make a little 8 inch explosion! Watch out for that

I tried this purely as an experiment as I was worried that it might make the razor head oily and it wouldn't glide over the skin well. For me shaving with a rotary electric requires everything to be clean and dry to get the best and most comfortable shave. Having now had a shave after using it on my razor I can report feeling no difference in the shave, it's not oily at all. I just hope that it will help to preserve the blades, time will tell.

I switched to an electric Shaver this year after I was put on blood thinners by my doctor following surgery for occlusion of my femoral artery and nicked myself shaving and had a blood bath. I bought a Braun 3Series 320S-4 Shaver here at Amazon and another user commented on this razor that using Remington SP-4 Spray lubricant has protected his investment and keeps his electric shaver running like new...he's right! I got the Braun at a very good price but regardless of what you pay for your shaver you want to keep it running like new and long lasting: This is the stuff!!! I can't brush it as clean as this spray gets it clean. You'll be glad you bought this product.

I was expecting the product that I bought many years ago, it had a nostalgic smell that you could only find in the barber shop, this has a citrus scent that is ok, but would rather have the classic. Aside from that, it works great.

Product does not seem to oily for nothing which is better with a shaver. Smell is not that good compared to other products I have used. Should do the job.

This product adds years to shavers and clippers

Excellent product. Makes my fifteen year-old Braun shave better than it ever has.
