This book is what finally helped me plan my Bali trip and not only that it also gave great local trips Alexa learned living in Bali and because of that and trusting myself I said yes to a local that gave me the best 2 days in Ubud and a true local tour including taking me into his home and sharing a meal with me and his family and teaching me so much real about Bali customs and culture. It really made the best trip of my life and after 6 years of a life changing brain injury this book helped me finally plan my trip and yo be open to things which I once totally was without a brain Injury. This trip gave me back so much of what I lost and Alexa’s book was beyond helpful! I ordered Cambodia and Vietnam for next years solo trip and I hope to join her Ashland rafting trip, which is drivable for me!! Your book was amazing and the only book I needed. It read so easy and was so useful and helpful. I recommend her books for travel, it helped this brain injured girl have the best trip ever and totally safe.

Alexa does a great job of boiling down the must see areas, restaurants, hotels, etc in the Solo Girl's Travel Guide to Bali. I bought this book along with Lonely Planets guide to Bali, however I found Lonely Planet to have too much info and take too long to sift thru. Alexa's book is much more reader friendly, with just the right amount of info, including recommendations for healers and drivers and avg cost of things (like how much a ride from the airport to Ubud should cost) which you can't get in the big name guide books. I also love the tone of the book, written from one gal to another, uplifting and empowering fellow female travelers. Thank you Alexa for all your tips! I can't wait for my trip!!

This book offered so much information in an easy to digest format. Alexa shared resources that were transformational to our trip. From healer reviews to driver contact names. We used her beloved Wayan many times and he was better than advertised. I plan to leave this book in Bali for the next solo gal looking for help, inspiration and resources to add to her travel experience. Thank you!

I like this book for the food selection of places to stay, places to visit and places to eat. The book is well organized and I especially appreciate the map. What really gives this a 5 star review though is Alexa. She is very accessible and has given me further advice and suggestions through instagram. It’s rare that you can buy a book and then message the author and recieve genuine and helpful responses. She is a true gem! I do wish the book had an itinerary and a more involved map but I did use google maps to map out my itinerary. In the end, you get much more than a book- you join a community of solo girl travellers!

This book is essential for travel to Bali. I took my first solo trip to Bali, and this book made me feel more prepared than other travel guides. I purchased 3 guides from different people/companies and returned the other two because I preferred the information provided in this one and used it to plan my trip. The author described the areas accurately, and her hotel recommendations were awesome. I met the best guide/driver ever, thanks to staying at one of the accommodations suggested in this book for Ubud. I would never have found my accommodation if it hadn't been recommended in this book (I was originally going to stay at a chain hotel but took a chance). I recommend using discernment and reading recent Google reviews because things can change. I had the best experience thanks to her guide. Now I'm going to buy one for Thailand!

It really makes a difference: The "where to go". I know Bali already 10 years. I can see that this Guide has really good tips. Bali is easy to travel alone...how to go...with respect to the people. Bali is a very special island...with realy helpful people and a wonderful culture. We are guests who have this aura....then we can really enjoy. This guide is a really good help...easy going

This book is really something! I read half of it just the first night!!... It's totally original, very well written and organized, and the information in there is priceless! I'm so glad I found it online by accident, I can feel that it's going to be my best friend on my trip. Can't wait to see the other guides!
