Works Well to Hide Repairs
Worked great, hides drywall repairs and blends into existing texture well. Used on one small repair (moved a towel bar, spackled holes, then used texture) and one large repair (moved an outlet, large drywall cutout, spackled 10” x 6” area, then used texture). After drying & painting, the repairs are essentially invisible. I’ve had the same can for over a year, and it still works well. I shook vigorously for 1-2 minutes, practiced on a sheet of cardboard taped to the wall, then tried to spray lightly and randomly over an area much larger than the repair. It seems to settle a bit after spraying, so I didn’t need to run a spatula over the spray, it flattens a bit on its own. I used the coarse setting. To keep for future use, I sprayed upside down when done, to clear the nozzle. Recommend!

Worked really well for us
We had a shelf above the bed that the cat laid on, and it was not anchored as well as it should’ve been and started to sag. We decided to take it down to redo it, and we’re left with pretty significant holes in the wall. After patching and painting the wrong color (which you can see, yikes) I ordered this to add the texture back to the wall and repaint correctly. I followed the instructions on the can as well as someone mentioned in one of the other comments regarding spraying it on cardboard first, and with a few short bursts, I left it to dry and repainted. Honestly, I’m relatively impressed. Would use again.

Works well
I was having a hard time getting the texture right on a wall patch that I did. I purchased this texture spray and it created the exact texture it promises to make. Unfortunately, my patch job was lumpy and the surrounding texture was not exactly orange peel. My walls are in a 40 year old apartment and have multiple textures and old patch jobs going on. This product, however, delivers exactly what it says it will. The wall looks so much better. I highly recommend if you need orange peel texture. Goes on blue, dries white, and was super easy to clean up the nozzle.

Honest review!
This Homax 41072042963 10 oz water-based aerosol spray is designed for easy DIY repairs on interior walls with an orange peel texture. It allows you to adjust the spray pattern (fine to heavy) via the nozzle, dries relatively quickly with a color-change indicator in some formulas, and offers low odor plus simple water cleanup. Perfect for patching small drywall holes, nail pops, or imperfections without hauling out a hopper gun or mixing compound. Pros: • Convenience king for small jobs: No mixing, no tools beyond the can—shake, spray, and prime/paint over once dry. Great for spot repairs. • Water-based advantages: Lower odor than oil versions, easier cleanup, and safer indoors. • Adjustable texture: Nozzle rotation helps match existing orange peel; works decently on light-to-medium textures when it sprays right. • Fast for touch-ups: Covers up to ~90 sq ft per can in ideal conditions (realistically much less for proper texture buildup). Cons: • Clogging and inconsistency: A very common complaint—cans frequently clog mid-use, spray unevenly, or stop working despite shaking/heating. Spray pattern can be globby or weak. • Limited coverage & value: The small 10 oz can runs out fast for anything beyond tiny patches; at the price, it feels expensive per square foot. • Technique-sensitive: Requires practice (distance, angle, multiple light coats) to avoid blobs or mismatches; not ideal for larger areas or perfectionists. • Hit-or-miss reliability: Many users love it for one-off fixes, but pros and frequent DIYers often call the line unreliable overall.

Worked as advertised!
I have 3 kids and they tend to dent the walls and corners. Plaster alone isn’t enough anymore so I wanted to find something to fix the walls. I researched and landed on Homax wall texture for my orange peel. I was skeptic about my ability to make it work and for the product to work. It worked as described and I did read about testing it before hand and highly advise to do that. I did 4 spots and it worked well. For spotwork don’t half press the button, hit it firm but only for a second and it will make a good textured spot. It dried white and not blue as others described and I waited a full day and painted over with ease. I highly recommend this product for textured work on walls.

avoid! Just get regular paint!
This product sucks ! I used it just one time and it hardly worked it came out all water and slid down the wall. I kept twisting the nozzle to make adjustments texture and eventually the material failed to dispense entirely. I tried everything even the hot water. The product does not dry quickly ! A shame bc honestly the color and texture seemed accurate but the nozzle sucks. Do not waste your money on this product! I’m a little annoyed bc I waited an entire week only for it not to work and wanted to use this for my move out day in my apartment but now I have nothing! :(

Warm Up and Spray Away
I love this product as coverage is perfect. I have read other reviews on this product and everyone likes it but find that it clogs up after just one use. Then I read that if you place the can in hot water for about 10 minutes right before use that the product will loosen up and spray freely. I followed this direction and found the spray will work properly time after time.
