Review: Simple well designed sink - This is a simple, well designed sink. The mounting hardware works well. The cutting template was accurate. The lip around the sink helps to keep the water from getting onto the countertop. Having the faucet holes built into the sink helps to prevent water seepage between the sink and the countertop. The only frustration so far has been that the two drain holes are at slightly different heights so the standard double sink drain connection doesn’t work.

A: Bought and installed this white sink in September, 2019. You can’t beat the look, but it stains! It’s so high maintenance that I would not recommend or buy it again. Tea, coffee, blueberry, tomato sauce, soup.... stain the sink all the time. It can drive you crazy if you want a clean looking sink. It really doesn’t take much to stain the sink. Because of my own ignorance I use bleach on it and has now damaged the coating. To be honest, who has time to scrub it all the time even with the recommended cleaner. Not worth the money and effort for me.

**Q: What are the actual dimensions of this sink.  31 1/2 or 30 outside?  28 or 29 1/2 inside?  conflicting info on various site descriptions! which is it?**
A: I bought this sink under this description:  "Kraus KBU14 30-Inch Undermount Single Bowl 16 Gauge Kitchen Sink, Stainless Steel" in 09/2011.  The sink's inside dimension is indeed 28"x16".  So, I am confused and don't know perhaps Kraus company changed the size of this sink.  Now, I want to buy this sink again and it seems to have a new description:  "Kraus KBU14 31-1/2 inch Undermount Single Bowl 16-gauge Stainless Steel Kitchen Sink".  When I did further research from Kraus website, it shows the inside dimension to be 29 1/2 " x 16 1/4 " (https://www.kraususa.com/pub/media/catalog/product/documentation/KBU14-Sink-Spec-Sheet.pdf)

A: Yes, My small bowl is on right side. Love my sink. With the small side it is not as deep as large side. The large side is deep enough f,or large pots. 16 gauge is one of best. It is a brushed steel so not shiny as chrome, but very attractive

This is a simple, well designed sink. The mounting hardware works well. The cutting template was accurate. The lip around the sink helps to keep the water from getting onto the countertop. Having the faucet holes built into the sink helps to prevent water seepage between the sink and the countertop. The only frustration so far has been that the two drain holes are at slightly different heights so the standard double sink drain connection doesn’t work.

Installed this superb sink last week. The packaging was top notch, no damage upon arrival. This is a high quality sink at a great price point. The stainless steel seems sturdy and my tall, gooseneck sink spout no longer wobbles when used. The sink has has nice deep basins, heavyweight 18 gauge steel with a nice finish, great soundproofing underneath and a good rating (I saw a Forbes magazine review of top-ten sink brands and Krauss was in the mix, fourth or fifth). My countertop opening was a shade too small and I had to trim an eighth of an inch off with an electric saw to get the sink to drop in. I don’t know if the problem was my countertop or the new sink but that was the only difficulty with installation. I’m totally happy with this sink and I think you will be too. Don’t hesitate, buy it. You’ll be glad you did.
