I have been very pleasantly surprised at the knee pad. It does exactly what it says it’s going to do. Easy to put on and doesn’t move around once you have it on. Excellent substitution for a pillow that’s constantly getting lost.

I have osteoarthritis in my knee on the inner joint. When I would sleep at night I would wake up often with knee pain from the pressure of it resting on the other knee. Since I have gotten this - no more knee pain at night!! Someone had mentioned there was a "hole" in the padding and they didn't like that; I found that it keeps the joint area from being too bulky. I guess sorta like sitting on one of those inflatable donuts when you have a hemorrhoid! This works perfect for me and it doesn't matter if you sleep on your right or left side or flip around like I do - it stays on and doesn't slip or bulge. I looked at many knee pillows/pads before purchasing this one and am so glad I did! The company - Alpha Medical is also great to deal with - I had ordered the wrong size, and Amazon was able to contact them before it shipped and they changed it, the company also emailed me personally to let me know that it had been taken care of. Great Customer service by both Amazon and Alpha Medical! update: still love this knee pillow, when the weather is bad my knee does still hurt - day or night. I imagine the pain would be worse without the pillow though on those nights.

Even though I returned this item, I'm still giving it 4 stars. It works exactly like it says it does. It stayed on and in position, and for me, provided the right amount of lift or space between my knees. I used the size guide, and the size I ordered fit me. However, this product is not ideal for someone who sleeps with a strong bend in the knee. Because of the compression used to hold it in place, when I bent my knees, it became too tight and uncomfortable. (I sleep with my knees bent about 90 degrees.) If you sleep with a slight bend in the knee (like in the photo pictured), this is a great product, and I would highly recommend it!

Thoughtfully designed. Places a pillow/pad right where you need it, and it doesn't move out of place while you sleep. Can feel a very little bit snug at first, but I barely notice it after I've gotten accustomed to wearing it. **It is important to be sure to order the correct size!** Too big won't stay in place, and too small won't fit. I wish they would make an equivalent product for ankles. I've tried improvising a bit, but these seem to be best used for knees. (I know others have also wished for an ankle version, so there seems like there is a market for it.)

Well, it is a nice product and it would have worked, but it's too tight. I measured carefully and according to your measurement charts I fit within the XL size. But it's just too tight. Cuts off the circulation actually. Really too bad because it would have worked well. Too bad you don't make an XXL size. I would buy it. As it is, I can't use it.

I have advanced osteoarthritis & loss of knee cartilage for which I've been sleeping with a small pillow between my knees for several years. The pressure of my knees on each other if I sleep on my side is very painful when I wake up.. I saw this product & figured it's a worth a try. Very convenient & effective. One knee pad is sufficient for that purpose. I just position the pad a little to the inside. The padding is thick enough making it unnecessary to have one for each knee. Pillows slide out where this does not. Great for traveling as it takes up much less room in a suitcase. If you didn't bring a small pillow along, the ones at hotels are cumbersome to try to place between the knees. This has enough padding to alleviate that pressure on the knees. Stays in place & doesn't slide out during the night. It is also small & convenient enough to travel with.

Although I was very hopeful that this product would alleviate annoying knee pain while sleeping, the product was unable to satisfy my needs. First, the product is NOT soft-in fact, it is really nothing more than a mid-grade set of athletic knee pads with a hole cut out of the pad where (theoretically) your knees would contact. It is very uncomfortable to wear-the material is a tight elastic band that is rough to the skin-just like an athletic knee pad-nothing soft about it. The pad itself is rather thin. It would be helpful if it were thicker and larger. Overall, I found this pad to be disappointing. I originally ordered a large-it was incredibly restrictive, so I ordered an XL, which was not much better. The longest I could tolerate wearing it was about 40 minutes. It was a waste of money for me. If you are looking for a set of knee pads to play competitive volleyball or tile your floor, these might be worth purchasing. If you are looking to relieve knee/back pain...keep looking.

I have trouble with knee pain and this has helped with that issue. Comfortable to sleep in and and really supportive.

For some time it has been painful to sleep on my side with knees together, but with the knee pad, my legs can lie on top of each other without pain.

As a medical professional, I had my doubts at first about the thickness of the padding, but having used it for several months, it is amazingly effective and comfortable. My wife has been using hers for 6 months and is thrilled with it. Washes very well in our laundry machine, every 2 weeks and allow it to air dry. Then they feel as good as new.

just the rght enough cushioning & compression for sleeping, but wish the cushion was on 3 sides, which would be better for side sleeping

Great idea but does not work in practice as padding too light for when I rest one leg against another
