How do you use for dyeing? Thought it might of came with instructions

I used this method to prepare cotton fabric for marbling ; Prepare Your Fabric (The Day Before) Mix 2 tablespoons of alum into two gallons of water. (The ratio of alum to water is 1:1.) Place all the fabric you're planning on marbling in the solution for 20 minutes. (Don't leave it any longer or it can ruin the fabric.) After 20 minutes remove the fabric from the water. I did all this outside, in case of strong odours, and hung the fabric to dry on the outside line. Hope this helps!

How much would I need to use in a 2m x 0.50m planter to change the Ph which is 6-7 reading. Thank you.

I have never done this but suggest you Google 'what is aluminum sulphate used for in horticulture'. There is quite a lot of info out there.
