Seward Trunk College Dorm and Camp Storage Footlocker, Black, 30-Inch (SWD5120-10)

This is the most adorable item in my house...well besides me! jk I so love this footlocker/trunk that I am going to buy more in different shapes. This holds so much crap and clears up more space than I ever imagined! The fact that it locks and you can add your own lock is just grand! Of course, it is not heavy duty like the older ones from back in the day but it is sturdy and a beauty to look at! If you are looking for something in this line than look no further! This is it! It is good for oh so many things and more then I can even think of. You won't regret it.

Perfect for college. Daughter has now used it for 2 years. Keeps camera, key documents and cash in it while she is gone. High quality.

I ordered to use as a dress up trunk for my girls. I'm ordering 2, though haven't placed the second order yet. I'll update if 2nd is different, but I love it. I'm picky about gifts for my kids because I want things to be just right. I needed sturdy because my girls are 6 and 4. This trunk will definitely hold up to them I think (we'll see though lol). I also wanted something with character. Something that, like the content it will hold, will make them WANT to play. Something that matches their personalities and that they could grow with. The pink of the trunk (brighter than in the picture cause of my camera) is beautiful for my youngest. Fun even. I was a little worried about the inside before I bought, but nothing seems to stick out as I worried. You can see where nails are but nothing breaks through. So clothes, wigs, and kids will be good. The only thing that I don't like (more personal than a real problem) is the center button lock. It's a good one, but the button is hard for me to push. So I know for sure it will be with them. So if for younger kids you'll need to not close that part. But if it's to keep out younger kids it'll be perfect. Plus side of the lock though it came with 3 keys.

There isn't anything "flimsy" about it, as one other reviewer stated. Although it is somewhat lightweight, it serves it's purpose of closet storage just fine. I went with the hot pink trunk myself, and the color is true to the picture. The inside print is a black and white speckle... almost leopard print, but with super tiny spots. You can see the inside if you click on the Barracks Footlocker Trunk featured under, "Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought." I'm very satisfied with my purchase and it's a lot bigger than I had originally thought it would be. Although there's a loop to put a lock through on the front for an additional lock, as well as the little key hole for the lock that comes built in, the little black switch on the front that needs to be pressed down while the metal part is pulled forward is complicated enough that my young children can't seem to figure out how to make it work so I don't bother with any additional locking mechanisms. Highly recommend!

Love, love LOVE this trunk. I bought this for my dorm room during my sophomore year in college (3 years ago now) and I have had it ever since. The only thing I regret about this purchase is the color. Hot pink does not blend in very well with my cherry-wood finished furniture I have in my apartment, but I cannot bring myself to get rid of this trunk. High quality, durable, long-lasting trunk! I have used it for crafting supplies, shoes, textbooks, as well as odds-and-ends and it has held up through all of them. I wouldn't put anything ridiculously heavy in here, but you're pretty safe loading this trunk up with whatever it is that you need stored. 100% recommend for college dorm rooms, although pick a color you can deal with long-term!

Love this!

I have always wanted one of these since my mom loaned us hers when my sister and I were young, and she said she had received one before she left for college. Now that I'm 19, and attending college this fall, I wanted one for myself, but couldn't figure out the technical term for it - now I know they're called collegiate footlockers! But anyways, I was more than happy with the service of seller123! First and foremost, it's a great price compared to others who sell the exact same thing, it's the perfect size and is very durable and sturdy, and above all, came through with delivery earlier than predicted! That's amazing! Thank you for your courteous service, and I do recommend anyone who sees this to buy from them; they are safe, reliable, inexpensive, fast, and kind! We need more sellers like you! Thank you for a great product! :)

The trunk was the size and look I wanted it to be. Seems to be fairly sturdy, however, I was very disappointed with the inside quality. The screws were pushing up against the particle board in every single instance, making the inside look cheap and of poor quality. So bad, in fact, that I ended up lining the inside of the trunk with papers to make it more appealing visually. The locking mechanism and 'keys' provided are cheap and bend and I will never use them. We purchased a regular lock to go through the latch and that works well. The handle is plastic and is in danger of breaking if carried with a load. The hinges are weak and we feel the top could break right off quite easily. Our plan it so place it close to a wall so that when it opens up it will be supported. I don't think this will be a long lasting purchase, however, it serves the need we have for it now, which does not involve lifting and carrying by the handle. I was pleased with the outside appearance, but quality and inside appeal is not to a high standard.

Bought it half price, good value for what we payed, sturdy, great color, works great in my pre-teen room to put all her stuff away.

Aunque el articulo llegó tarde, las personas que lo enviaron asumieron bien su compromiso y repararon el problema, es un articulo de buena calidad que cumple muy bien con las expectativas, el hecho de que tenga ruedas lo hace muy practico

works well, not as well made as they used to be

DO NOT ORDER Item completely unusable. Keys to trunk missing upon arrival along with product instructions
