Godsend!!
Well I purchased three of these - one each for my two grandchildren and one to share between me in the kitchen and the doggo. Very pleasantly surprised at how powerful they are. Grandson got on well with his - definitely helped him to sleep - bit noisy but I think that helped him relax! Grand daughter yet to use hers. It's very good to have on the worktop while working in the kitchen. It doesn't cool the whole room, but certainly 4-5 ft distance for personal cooling down! I'll know for sure when I do the ironing. But yes, very pleased and would definitely buy it again.

Excellent product
A really excellent little machine. Perfect for the worktop in the kitchen. It sends cool air out even when the ice has melted. Good value and much relied on in a heat wave! The only reason I have given 4* is because the water trough isnβt removable to empty so the whole thing has to be carefully taken to the sink.

Cool cooler π
This is a great item! Small and compact, lightweight and simple to use. Purchased due to very hot weather of late with more to come! I also like the fact it has a choice of air flow, water spray and lighting! Itβs fab that the filter is super easy to remove and store in the freezer which, next day when I came to use it, gave a fab boost of freezing cold air to my living room. I added freezing cold water to the top tank and also a few ice cubes, then sat down and then altered the flow air via the air vent to point at me and my furry friend sat next to me π Within seconds we were both cool and relaxed! I continued to replace the water and ice cubes throughout the day and evening, bliss! Even better I used it over night next to my bed and stayed cool all night 10/10π

not hugely effective and quite noisy.
Its not great, which is to be expected from it's price. Yes it does push out a bit of cooler air but it is quite noisy, so if you want a quiet working or chillin' environment this is not a great thing to have.

Ineffective cooling, but incredibly loud fan.
I've used similar devices in the past, so with the current warm spell I thought I'd treat myself. However, this is not like the devices of the past; in some ways it's better designed, but it's also utterly useless! Following the instructions to soak the filter before use, I took note of the ambient room temperature (26.9 degrees), then placed the cooler 6" away from the thermometer. After 15 minutes, the best cooling effect I've measured was 1.2 degrees. All that from a fan measuring ~65 dB from my seat, 70 dB if you get close enough to feel the air moving in front of the device. Ironically, the best cooling was achieved with the fan speed on the lowest level. Opening the front tray, I see that there's only a drop of water in the evaporation chamber, meaning that virtually no water is feeding through from the resevoir. The only cooling effect my unit provided was from water pre-soaked into the front filter, not from the resevoir, after 20 minutes of running the filter was bone dry. Returned as clearly defective, but given the loudness of the fan, I could not have used it on my office desk anyway.

The Chillmax is wonderful. Would highly recommend.
Love it. Works brilliantly. the noise is the same as a fan. You can have all the different settings. coloured lights are a great bonus. The Chillmax is wonderful. Would highly recommend. The weather has been so humid, this is brilliant on the ice setting. Usually have it on every night. Great for someone like me, who has night sweats. Even my husband loves it. My grumpy old man never likes anything. Unless he picks it of course.

Does the job!
Spot on little contraption, wet the filter and add aste to the top and it blows out mist. Not extremely powerful but if youre sat about a meter away you can still feel it. Wish it was a bit bigger but does the job! The max setting is loud so when im streaming always turn it down by 1 so mic doesnt pick up on it, but off stream it hardly bothers me!

Disappointed
A lovely unit, just not cold enough. This is perfect for someone in a very small space, like at an office desk, who can top it up with ice. I use water from the fridge and it's not very cold when it comes out as a mist. If it was right at the side of my face, I'd be able to feel it. I ordered it for my very small office in work and it's pointless. A nice unit, nice to look at, nice touch with the light but just not good enough. The advert on TV shows it being used in the kitchen, front rooms ... Don't buy in to it!!
