I did have to spend a few minutes during the first use getting things under control. But since the first use I probably spend an average of 1 minute twice a week keeping these hairs tamed. As for ear hairs, I don’t have a lot but this seems to work just fine on them also. Plus I use the trimmer to trim any wayward eyebrows between haircuts. And finally, clean-up on this is a breeze. I simply wipe the end with a alcohol moistened tissues between uses and rinse under the faucet every now and then for a thorough cleaning. First of all, I've been seeing ads for rotary nose hair trimmers all my life and when I was young I thought - how ridiculous. How hairy can someone's nose or ears get? Well, at 50 I am beginning to get a glimpse of why you want these things. I've always tried to find a little private time several times a week to yank both ear and nose bush, but as time has marched on, I began to realize I was losing the war. My barber made some light hearted cracks about how men when reaching a certain age just start sprouting the uglies. Of course, the eyebrows overgrow a little too, but that problem isn't as bad - yet. Lucky I'll have these trimmers around. I don't know any other men who own a trimmer like this - the men in my family seem to just consider tufts of wayward hair coming out their head holes to enhance character or something - so I was on my own. My only personal experience trying one once - well, it was awful. Many years ago I gently raised one into a nostril where it set about yanking out every nostril hair it could grab. Very painful. So after reading reviews and seeing this as a top seller for an affordable price, I went for it. Two days later, with some trepidation, I put it to the test. It gently and quietly went to work civilizing and youth-ifying my nose and ears. Perfect. Easy to operate, easy to clean, and totally painless. And quiet, too, which was something I hadn't thought about but I appreciate. We'll see how it holds up over time, but at its extremely affordable price, I won't mind too much if it konks out in 18 months or something. So, gentlemen, if you're 50 or over I suggest you look in the mirror - really look and be honest - and if you think your situation is beyond tweezing, buy this thing. It's fantastic.
