This is a very nice trimmer at a budget price, and it completely changed my perception of what a Ni-Cd powered trimmer could be. My only other experience with a Ni-Cd powered trimmer was the gawdawful Remington PG6020, which I thought I was getting at a good price at my local Kohls. They charged $22 for it a full price, and I used one of those $10 gift cards they periodically mail to houses in my neighborhood to bring it down to around $13. Holy cow that was a waste of money. The attachments were hard to use, most of them were useless, and the trimmer was only usable for a couple of minutes after several hours of charging. I used it once, lost the charger somewhere, and decided to cut my losses and just chuck that piece of crap. That little episode impressed some thoughts into me: 1) That despite the cool premium-sounding name, Remington is willing to release a completely crap product to the masses, and 2) Kohls is as crappy a department store as I expected when they first moved into my neighborhood if they had the gall to sell that trimmer. Nowadays, I only go there to spend those $10 gift cards on socks because most other things in that store are just too expensive and not worth the asking price. Anyway, onto this Wahl. After a few months of usage, I'm quite impressed by it. First off, though the instructions say to charge overnight before use, the trimmer had enough battery power for your first trim coming right out of the box. (I would still follow the instructions and charge it first.) And indeed, that battery power is no fluke. So far, I've been able to use this Wahl trimmer on average 1.5 months before needing to charge it (I typically trim 1-3 times a week). Not too shabby. The trimmer itself is quite powerful, and, with or without the included combs, will make short work of trimming even the hardest and most stubborn hairs on your face. And though it's a bit loud, you're not living with this noise 24/7, so why should you care so much about how much noise it makes while trimming? And one of the best attributes is that you can use this trimmer when its battery has drained and is being charged, something that POS Remington couldn't do. Overall, I really can't ask more from a trimmer at this price. I can only think of a few negatives, one being the quality of the included combs. They're made of a pretty cheap and hard plastic as other reviews have stated. I try to be gentle and not rip them off the trimmer to prolong their life. The packaging that the trimmer comes in is also a pain in the butt to take off, and potentially dangerous as you're opening it. Don't rip through it to get to your new trimmer, or you might suffer a nasty cut from a sharp plastic packaging edge.

Good quality. This is my second one. The first lasted for a couple of years when used regularly. The device eventually would not hold a charge well.

My husband is very pleased with the trimmer. The ability to use the trimmer with or without the cord is awesome. It has great power nice sharp clean, cut shaving. Highly recommend and the price is right.

OK, here's the problem. I like this trimmer and have had one for years. It died, so I tried another Wahl trimmer that I didn't like as much and it died quickly. I tracked this one down on Amazon and bought it, as I liked the previous one I owned so much. I got it and felt it was really good. Had an issue where the light never came on (my last one did), but it worked fine, so I didn't care. Now I only trim my beard once a week, so I charged it initially and used it a couple of weeks with no issues. I plugged it in the second time and forgot about it for a week until I used it again. No problems, it worked fine. Used it a few more times and plugged it in again and forgot it until I used it again, a week later. The battery is now shot. Won't hold a charge but for a few seconds. Worst part is I specifically sought this one as you're supposed to be able to use it while on the cord, but mine is so weak on the cord as to be useless. So, basically, I got maybe a half dozen uses out of it. Yes, I left it plugged in for a week at a time, twice, but really, the battery is so poor that it can't handle that? Even considering that, I'd have no problem with this model if it just worked as advertised while plugged in on the cord, but it doesn't. This is basically a cordless trimmer with a battery that needs to be nursed to survive. Not like the last one I owned, at all. Maybe I got a bad one, it's possible, since the LED light never worked once. 3 stars because I love the trimmer, but can't really recommend it since half of the ones I owned have let me down.

Excellent trimmers

Been using Wahl products for years. I actually have one similar to this one that I’ve owned for over 10 years and it’s great. This one is the worst beard trimmer I’ve ever owned! I keep my beard trimmed short and trim it probably twice a week. The guards are not like the old t-blade style. They get clogged very quick. Literally have to take it off and clean it out 2-3 times during a trim. Take the guard off, and use the actual blade for precision trimming, lining, etc, and it sticks. It’s Going in the trash.

Esta máquina tiene un desempeño suficiente para cortar o mantener el bello facial o corporal de normal a grueso sin problemas. No es una máquina de lujo ni debería ser juzgada como tal tomando en cuenta su precio. Con dos o tres pases por area, corta el bello de manera bastante uniforme y sin tener que hacer movimientos lentos, la potencia del motor es suficiente para que no tardar demasiado pero sin ser un motor ruidoso o que deje las manos entumidas. Los accesorios son de calidad aceptable y suficientes para realizar el cuidado de barba o cabello (yo uso un estilo similar al "beard and fade" que pueden encontrar en google) he usado los peines de tamaño | y || y el peine variable sin problemas. Le bajaría media estrella a la calificación debido a que la batería interna no es de litio, es NICd creo, y porque la bolsa de viaje es de mala calidad. Pero la bolsa no la voy a usar y la batería de litio aumentaría bastante el costo.

Em menos de uma semana as lâminas já estavam enferrujadas. Péssimo investimento.

Very bad trimmer.. It's pull hair and not at all comfortable. Just brought on 26th aug 2025 and today is 2nd sep. Can't even return it. Full money wasted @customer care help

Je viens de recevoir et d'ouvrir le paquet. L'emballage plastique doit être découpé avec un outil tranchant, il est donc impossible de le refermer. Le produit en lui même est d'une qualité navrante, corps en plastique, lame de mauvaise facture, guide de coupe avec un système de fixation qui sera certainement cassé dans moins d'un mois, pochette de transport en plastique tissé le moins cher possible; bouton d'allumage fragile. Petite blague supplémentaire, le chargeur n'est pas adapté au prise FR/CE. Tout est de piètre qualité pour un prix élevé, je suis extrêmement déçu de cet achat. Je ne le recommande pas.

Produit pas du tout adapté à mon usage habituel. J’aime laisser un peu de barbe. J’ai essayé le plut petit sabot et j’ai à peine coupé quelques poils. Du coup j’ai coupé sans sabot et le résultat pas souhaitable. Je sais pas si je je peux avoir un sabot plus petit.
