Basic clean-up is quick. It needs a deeper cleaning after 3-4 long cooks. I love that most of it is made in the United States of America. For me after the second wood refill it was going 3+ hours before needing for wood. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic cold smoker!! *by J***N on December 8, 2018* I'll admit, I was apprehensive at first ordering this, because I LOVE my Traeger Pro34, and the last thing I wanted to do was drill a hole in the side of the barrel of a $1000 pellet grill. But I'm happy that I did. I've used it for additional smoke on hot smokes (not that I needed it), just to try it out, and was pleased with the results. Now that some weather resembling winter has arrived here in Texas, I could put the true 'cold smoke' to the test. I've cold smoked a total of 18 pounds of cheddar cheese with it. The first 4 pounds the ambient temperature was 54 degrees, and the barrel temp when smoking only hit 76. Yesterday was 14 pounds, ambient temperature of 45, barrel temp didn't go above 55. It created a strange phenomenon (to me) at that temperature. Smoke was pouring out of the grease drip instead of the smoke stack for the most part, as you'll see in the video. It makes me want to get the new Savannah Stoker controller, that allows you to use the induction fan only, to help with smoke circulation. The drawback to me, with my particular grill at least, is that since installing it, the target temperature on my controller, compared to actual, the actual seems to routinely run 10 degrees lower at all times. I installed the unit as the instructions said to, but I'm wondering if heat isn't going into the pipe and the smoke daddy causing this temperature drop.
