I've been trying to learn how to solder and one of my biggest issues were getting a clean, "pre-tinned" solder tip. This product has helped solve my issue and prevent me from wasting many soldering tips! Thank you!

Tip tinners are basically an essential buy if you work with soldering irons. Doubly so useful if you use TS100 style tips (eg. Pinecil) as they are more pricy to replace if you eroded the tips down.My tips look nearly new despite a fair amount of use on them because of this product.

The product works if you can get your tip in it. It looks exactly as the picture shows... however, the product at the edges starts at only the halfway point of the container. The product is concave inside the can, so, there is only about 1mm of product in the center of the container. When you try to roll the tip of your iron in it, the side of the container gets in the way because there is so little product in it. You can only get the very tip tinned. This is not worth purchasing.

Not much to say, it is tip runner. Instructions are included if you have never used the product in the past. Works as it should to protect your tips.

I mostly use thermaltronic’s tip tinner but I find SRA’s tip tinner to be better for heavier oxidation than thermaltronics.For me both are worth having around although I use SRA’s for the tougher jobs and less frequently. The fumes from SRA’s are a little harsher even with good ventilation.

Looked everywhere locally for this product but it was not to be found. Found it in an instant on Amazon. Great price, great product.

It works. Contrary to some reports, mine came in as a solid cake of the stuff. It looks powdery but it doesn't break apart easily. The thing smells funny, with some hints of chemicals? Don't breath the smoke it. I don't think it is better than wrapping solder wire around the tip but it sure is convenient to just poke your iron into the stuff.

Products works great. Did the job

It is super easy to tin your iron with this product. The tin is a bit smaller than I expected. I included a picture beside the soldering iron for reference. But the quantity is still suitable for the cost IMO.
