When the description said it would be good for outdoors and on the beach, I was expecting blanket sized. This is about the size of a small, very thin beach towel, except that it's round. It is made of polyester, so the sand wouldn't stick to it much which I guess is a plus.What I think it would be really good for is a table covering for a small, bistro sized table. It feels a little bit like a thin shower curtain, so it would repel liquids and be unlikely to stain easily. I draped it over a plant stand and it's a stunning backdrop to a large spider plant.
