what size are the rings? 1/8 th, etc?

The sizes are: blue 1/16", gold 3/16" and orange 1/8"

What is the diameter of the pin. I would love to use the rings on a non-Wilton pin. The answer to this same question above was off base completely.

I still keep the package. I read carefully every word again but sorry I didn't see any detailed description about the material, BPA free, heat resistant, ... or not. It feels plain plastic to me. I am not using it on any hot stuff and I always hand wash it right after the work, so I never worry about that. Wilton website doesn't say much about it either.

Are the guide rings hard plastic or "rubber band" style?

The rings are similar to an o-ring made out of nitrile, they are elastic but not as a rubber band which breaks. They are not as stiff as a hard plastic to allow the insertion into the rolling pin.
