I have used this product successfully since last June. The packaging is generic, as I did not even receive the pictured "Vac Fresh" label. Therefore, there could be variations from the vendors. As others have said, it is a substantially cheaper product than the name brand Food-saver bags or rolls. However, I have not noticed any difference when compared to the factory samples that was included with my Foodsaver. The bags have one side that is smooth/glossy and the other side which has the "waffle-channels" to allow for air to be vacuumed out. There is no fancy writing area such as on the Foodsaver bags, but the smooth side of the bags are easy enough to use a Sharpie marker. These have performed 100% without fail for me every time unless I have made the mistake of making the baseline seal too close to the edge which makes it much more vulnerable to a small leak. I have sealed both wet products, including steaks/fish, and dry products, such as jerky and baked goods. All have done fine with no long term leaks for several months. The rolls are larger than would fit in my Foodsaver model. However, I just store the larger roll outside and use either a wrapping paper cutter or the Foodsaver mounted cutter until it is small enough to put inside the unit as designed. Either way, it is a minor inconvenience for the price that is paid and cost savings. Would definitely buy again without hesitation. There is no real downside to this product unless you just want to spend more money.

These rolls make excellent bags from the Foodsaver. (I have the V2860-the one you can stand up as a space saver.) You get two HUGE HUGE rolls. They do not fit in my machine until the roll get down about half, that is how BIG EACH roll is. What I do is when I need to make a long bag, I pull from the larger roll and store the one that is down to half in the machine. I have been working on my year's food storage, I have NEVER had a problem with them sealing anything, unless I do not cut the bag long enough. I seal all kinds of grains, beans, flour, dried fruit, etc. I just ordered some other rolls that does not tell the size of the rolls anyplace on the page, they are 1/2 the size of these rolls, and decided to look up what bags I last ordered. that is when read other people's reviews saying they are worthless and that is "WHY" I decided to let you know what an excellent product this truly is. I think if you are having a problem with these bags, you may need to change the seals on their foodsaver, the seals do get old and dry. If your machine is over 3 years old, you need new seals Here is another way to test your seals and make them work, you can pull your seals out and lightly oil them with olive oil and wipe off, did that for a few months, until I purchased new seals on Amazon. When you use the oil on the seals, you must do it once every two weeks, that got real old for me. I was on Amazon searching for a new foodsaver to purchase and while shopping on Amazon I noted at the bottom of the page, new seals, I could just replace the seals, so I ordered the new seals, (what to say they were 8-9.00), worth a try; replaced both of my seals and my food saver works like new again. I could not believe that was the problem with my foodsaver. I have not ever had a problem since. I do know, if you get a crinkle in any plastic bag sealing bag, like it is not perfectly smooth, it will leak air, but these bags are so heavyweight and you must allow at least 3 inches to seal an item, so the bag lays flat in the machine. These bags are the best ones, I have purchased in the past two years and I use these bags daily. They are thick and seal excellent.

These bags are exactly what you are looking for! We kick ourselves at how much money we used to waste on the name brand bags for our vacuum sealer. After years of using the other ones, I finally decided to see if there was a more economical version and was happy to see these. I put my faith in the good reviews and man am I glad I did. There is absolutely nothing about these bags that makes them any worse than the expensive ones. The only thing, as others have mentioned, is that the rolls are too big to actually fit inside the vacuum sealer. For us, this is not an issue whatsoever. I don't mind having the roll separate. We have used this brand for over a year now and have never had any issues with them not sealing, loosing their seal etc. They have performed perfectly. I hope this review helps you decide to give these a try.

These bag rolls are indeed commercial grade. They are thick and yet very pliable, and virtually puncture proof. I own a food saver sealing unit and the only reason I knocked off one star is because you have to wind off the roll to achieve an acceptable diameter so as to fit in the compartment properly. I anticipated a possible future need for the used cardboard core from a previous order, which I saved, the pack rat I am! So the task was an easy one. I simply taped the end of the roll to the empty cardboard core and rolled it on. And believe me, for this price and this quality, it was WELL worth it! And if you don't have an old core, don't worry. Simply unroll what you need and pop it in. But save the core from the first roll in this package for future use! I sealed a ton of meat and veggies yesterday and I couldn't be happier. Excellent. Highly recommended, 4 stars for the roll size, 5 stars for the quality AND price.

Quick Review I bought Two of these big roles. They are excellent. I have a Nesco sealer and these bags seal with tho issues at all Best Price Good Product. If your sealer has the bag storage on the back top then I will tell you a little secret. This bag is too large to fit into the compartment, So keep your tube from your empty role and self role half onto your saved tube and then it will fit very well. I purchased and the package got lost. The merchant sent me a new one this time by Fed Ex. arrived next day from San Diego that is 99 miles from me. After two weeks the First shipment showed so I refused unopened Priority mail returned to sender. The owner sent me a thank you for being honest and sending it back. I bought my first order quite awhile ago....these alternatives to the name brand were new back then and one had to rely on reviews to feel confident enough to take a chance on a "generic". I'm glad I did -- they worked fine and two years later I am finally used up the last of my first order. So, I ordered more of the same! My only complaint is that the rolls are too big for my machine. I have to roll off about half the roll onto a used empty roller and then put the rest away. However, as I roll it onto the new roller, I just think about all the money I am saving by using these 50' rolls instead of the more expensive smaller rolls from the original manufacturer. Capitalism at its best.

The first thing I noticed about these bags, other than the size of the rolls, was that they are less supple than the "Food Saver" bags and almost feel "crisp" in comparison. I thought this was going to be a problem but in actual use the extra strength has it's benefits. I mainly use my vacuum sealer for fish and meat. With these bags the sharp edges on the bones of steaks & chops and fish fins/spines won't puncture the vacuum bag as easily resulting in well sealed portion after a few weeks of being knocked around in the freezer. I live on a lake in a sparsely populated area of East Texas and always have fish to pack and the nearest Sam's Club is a 90 mile round trip drive. I really need and use my vacuum sealer. The bottom line is that I will definitely re-order these bags.

The hubs and I decided to buy these rather than the ones specifically sold by food saver, to save $$$. So far we have used up a whole roll and that took us about 3 months to do so. I buy in bulk whenever I can and that includes meats, seafood, sugar, flour, and spices. Pretty much anything we can save by buying in bulk. I have used these to make ice packs for travelling and nothing leaks. I highly recommend this product if you have a food saver vacuum system, I'm not sure about other vacuum machines because I don't own one. To save room, I used our kitchen's paper towel holder and it holds one roll perfectly and stored the other one while we used it up. It rolls great and cuts easy. It did not fit in our food saver because we have a very basic model and it doesn't have the storage thing in it. I will definitely be buying these again!
