Saphir Renovateur truly lives up to its reputation as the best leather care product you can buy. I’ve used it on high-end shoes, handbags, and even leather furniture, and every time it brings the material back to life with a soft, natural sheen that looks luxurious without being glossy. The texture is silky and easy to apply. Just a small amount goes a long way. It absorbs quickly, nourishing the leather from within instead of sitting on the surface like cheaper conditioners often do. I have a pair of limited edition artist series Doc Martens from a few years ago that I unfortunately can't replace and I absolutely love... but I also broke them in before I lost a lot of weight, and the leather has gotten so dry that they were so painful to wear I only brought them out for special occasions. I needed to do something to soften the leather up, but the outside of the leather is printed and I didn't want to run the risk of damaging it or putting something on it that would change the colors too much. This cream seemed like a decent choice- more expensive than some of the alternatives, but had a low chance of messing up the print on the leather. I put one layer on the outside and let them sit for an hour before deciding to put some on the inside, as well (the boots are unlined). It absorbed into the interior almost instantly - I wound up giving it a good layer and letting that sit before putting on a second (the second layer didn't get pulled in as fast). I let that sit again for a few hours. All told, I used about half the jar for all 3 treatments. I have them on now and even without insoles I can feel a WORLD of difference. The print on the outside of the leather looks perfect and I didn't notice any darkening of the colors, and they're so comfy to wear again! This was definitely expensive in comparison to other options, but I really didn't want to run the risk of damaging the art on these boots. Would recommend if you need to rescue something that you can't replace or something like this where there's intricate pattern/printing on the leather. My boots feel better than when they were new.

Saphir Renovateur is the perfect product to put life back into your leather. I had an older pair of shoes that I stripped the finish off of and dyed to black. The stripping process left the leather a dry and lifeless. The Renovateur breathed some life back into the leather and the finished product speaks for itself.

The manufacturer of my headphones recommends using nothing to clean the thin leather covering the ear pads. According to the instructions, just wipe them off after use. That may work adequately for listening at home in an easy-chair, but not when working out. Perspiration (sweat) contains many things which are bad for leather, particularly salt. Simply wiping them off is not going to remove the salt, which easily penetrates leather. There are ways to supposedly help remove it, but thin leathers, like suede, are delicate and difficult to clean. Over time, salt and perspiration will make the leather stiff and fragile, much more susceptible to tearing. Hence, I went looking for a suitable leather product for my new, pricey headphones. This is just the kind of gentle protectant I was looking for. The consistency is relatively thin. I just dab my finger to it, then carefully wipe it on. The beeswax and mink oil will help keep sweat from penetrating the leather. Although I wipe off the leather while exercising, I’d like all the protection I can get. When properly cared for, products designed to last for years can last decades. It’s wasteful and bad for the environment to be discarding and replacing products which could have lasted far longer. It’s not uncommon for friends to ask how old are items in my home. “I haven’t seen those in years. Why does yours still work and look fairly new?”

Fabulous product. I purchased some secondhand Hermes leather items that arrived scuffed and darkened. I was surprised at how they cleaned right up and healed. I was recommended Saphir in a handbag conversation group and they were right!

A little expensive ,but gives a good shine, good 4 leather but minimum in waterproof, ok in light rain

I used this leather conditioner on my Chromexcel leather boots. This conditioner gives the boots a nice shine. Other offerings by Saphir also are good for Chromexcel leather, and Renovateur is among them. I'm very pleased with this conditioner. The conditioner did not change the color of my shoes, although my shoes are already a dark brown leather. The conditioner is also a good value, as a little conditioner goes a long way. If I ever run out of this stuff, I will certainly purchase Renovateur again.

This leather treatment worked very well on a recent project I did (leather valet tray/dice roll mat). I applied it after the dye dried. When applying, it picked up a bit of the leather dye, but I kept working it in and the dye that was picked up on my cloth towel was unnoticeable on the leather piece itself. Meaning, don’t be too alarmed to see some dye lift off on your applicating cloth. I saw this product being used in a leather dyeing video on YouTube - the gentleman first applied neatsfoot oil, then dyed the leather, then applied this cream/finish. The finish looks sleek, sheen and smooth. Feels great and I’ll absolutely use it again! I’d recommend!

En komplett produkt för skoputs. Den första som jag lägger på nya skor. Efter en djupare rengöring av gamla skor, så lägger jag på renovature cream först. Väldigt bra för skinnet.
