**Q: What are the actual dimensions of the unit? Dimensions given by amazon don't seem right.**

**Q: is it windows 7 compatible?**
A: I have three signature pads running on window 7 without issue.

**Q: Can this pad be used for travel? I need a way to travel with a signature pad.**
A: Yes.  The pad is powered through the laptop connection via USB and the signing pen is battery operated.  As long as the power going to the computer is correct you shouldn't have any problems.  I assume your question has to do with travel outside the US and if so, read further.  Most laptops have dual voltage transformers.  That's the block on the charger cord between the AC plug that goes into the wall and the plug that goes into the computer.  You can confirm this by reading the tiny print on the transformer that looks like 100-240V.  This means that when you connect to a European outlet the voltage will be stepped down from 240 to 110.  Of course, you'll need the appropriate adapter that goes from your charging cord to the wall receptacle.  If your laptop transformer does not show a voltage range you will have to purchase a separate voltage transformer.

**Q: Does this unit show the signature as it's being signed?**
A: There is  a driver or software you may need to download from Topaz to work a I describe. You have a electronic document with an area to be signed and when you click on the box with your mouse, a signature box appears. You sign and see your signature appear as you sign the topaz screen. Then you will have an "accept" or "clear" box to select.  You accept the signature and the box disappears and the document is signed.

I had to do plenty of research on how to install the program and drivers that make it work with my computer. Also which if my installed programs would work with it and with which plug-ins and so forth. Finally got it to work fine.
