Best Tea We've Ever Tasted!
This tea is fresh! We have had several "batches" of this tea since each box is marked with the month and year of picking, blending & packaging, expiry, and a lot number. Each box we've had has consistent flavor and it tastes like fresh tea leaves. Now to be fair here in the US we are not known as great tea drinkers and up until last year our household has been mostly coffee drinkers. However, the acidity and bitterness of coffee has started to bother us more. We stumbled on to this tea in the office and it is the best black tea we have ever tasted. We steep our tea for ten minutes (I know that's too long) to get the most flavor and caffeine out of each bag and this tea is never bitter. It has a rich, almost creamy flavor and it really does taste like fresh tea leaves rather than the cardboard box taste of other teas. The founder of Vahdam Teas, Bala Sarda, sends a nice message about the company and how they are a family company that gives some of its profits to the education of the children of their tea workers. They seem to have good values that we appreciate so it makes the tea taste that much better. Try it, you'll like it!

Not bad, not amazing
Pretty good tea. I may buy again, but not what I hoped for. I am trying to find something really English tasting, strong but not bitter, with depth of flavor. This is 'not bad at all' but not English Breakfast taste...

Very bad quality....misleading web descriptions
Inaccurate web descriptions....it says the tea is strog...I tried 2 bags for one mug ...it very light taste ....too bad...i just threw it in the trash...preferred not to return....I have to drive 5 miles to return....strongly NOT recommended...

English Breakfast is bitter, OLONG is Great!
Yes, the English Breakfast tea is very bitter. I usually drink Twinnings. Going Back. The OLONG TEA in wonderful tho. I highly recommend that flavor in this brand. Tags come off the string very easy, so be careful unwinding it before placing in the hot water.

A Great Tea!
As a drinker of strong tea and never coffee, I'm always on the lookout for good cup to get me going in the morning. You can smell and taste the distinct freshness of this Vahdam tea over the 'big tea name' competition. It's very smooth and robust and a joy to drink. The flavor is not quite the same as the finer grind tea bags, but it's a welcome distinction. Whole leaf joy!

Regular black tea.
Even black teas can have their own flavor which this one doesn't have much of. I made a mistake and bought tea bags instead of the bulk like I always do so I opened and emptied all of the bags into a jar, and I was shocked as to how little amount of tea you're getting overall.
