I Expected More... Coming From The Samsung Line. You Get What You Pay For.
Purchased this phone about a month ago today because I wanted to try something different, however the old saying is true... you get what you pay for. I have previously come from the Samsung Note line ($800-$1000 phones). Why I thought a $300 purchase would compare... well, it was a lapse in judgement.-----Pros-----Construction - The construction of the phone is very good. It's durable and can withstand some potential deadly drops to the other lines on the market. I work in I.T. and infrastructure, so the phone is receiving a beating all of the time while in the field. No need for a case, the body construction of the phone is just like one of my previous cases on a Samsung Note phone in the past.Battery Life - Battery life has been very nice, lasting through many hours on the phone and continuous data usage through apps and SMS between family, friends and clients.-----Cons-----The Headphone Port - I use my AUX and headphone port a lot. Headsets on the market cannot handle my continuous use, so I rock a wired headphone. 1 out of 7 AUX and headphones have actually fit into this headphone port. It is almost like the headphone port is deeper due to the construction of the phone, so I have been left with having to use bluetooth options after purchasing due to the headphone port's limited compatibility with wired headphones on the market.USBC Not Supported - Using microUSB chargers, an outdated charger type. I had to rollback my chargers in order to get a charge, coming from a former USBC charger and compatible phone.Options and Features Limited (WiFi Calling) - There are some options/features that I have had on my previous phones which the poptel doesn't support... one of them being WiFi calling. It's a large problem for us in South Florida / Miami due to overcrowding and population. A lot of buildings have no reception, so not having WiFi calling was a big let down for me.App Runtime Spotty - I use my phone mainly for data use (SMS, Email, etc). Outlook application doesn't handle well and the version of Google Android used on the device bugs out from time to time.Reception Issues on Mobile Data & No 5G - Most rugged phones have reception problems and I couldn't tell you the last time I had 4 bars on this phone. Additionally, the phone likes to hop to H+ (which is when 4G is not available) and this is within 4G reception areas in a major city. I haven't seen it, but I am assuming the phone will not have 5G support even though they are testing it in the area. Considering the current issues, I can't see it supporting the new wireless band.Camera & Taking Photos - Okay, this may be an operating system issue rather than the phone, or both, but it is worth mentioning. The camera has taken more blurry photos than clear ones. Reason is, after pressing the button to take the photo, you need to hold it still for about 3/4 seconds and if you move it at all, its blurry and you have to retake it. So it takes much longer to register the photo than my previous phones. The camera isn't the best quality (front or back), once again a reflection of the price I am sure.A Blinking Display - After a few weeks of constant SMS and email use, the display is now becoming bright and returning to normal when I type on certain parts of the LCD. It's almost like the phone now has pressure points.-----Conclusion-----If you are looking for a phone to take a lot of calls, this is a good phone that will last you. If you are an app and data user (lots of text messages, emails, other apps), love your camera, need WiFi calling or need the latest and greatest on the market via software updates... I would reconsider. It was a nice experience but I am reminded why the Samsung and IPhone lines are priced at what they are priced at. Don't be like me, spoiled by technology, and expect that this phone will come close to matching with the big brands on the market. You would be sadly mistaken. It was a good test though. If you want to keep your cost low, I would aim towards getting a Google Pixel or something within the Samsung, IPhone or Google phone brands.

Awesome phone.
Well, I bought it in August 2019. The phone is amazing and the performance was never disappointing. I had an issue with part of the screen not working right. All in all the seller was willing to send a replacement, there is a 12 month warranty, but, Amazon prevented that. I did return the item and get a full refund from Amazon at Amazon's discretion but, I'd rather have the phone. All in all the seller was willing to do what was necessary but, while Amazon seller support told the seller one thing Amazon customer service said the opposite. Amazon failed both me and the seller. The phone is awesome!

no data internet
update, let me be clear I loved every thing about this phone, it broke my heart to have to return it, the company is making it right and say they can set the APN to work with straight talk, but I have recently bought another phone. the POPTEL has everything and I would have kept it but I didn't know how to set up the APN and straight talk was no help. I just received an e-mail from POPTEL wanting to help but I have already returned and replaced the phone.

Great phone for the price
Love the phone. The screen protector broke within 3 days of having it. But there than that the phone performs very well and is very sturdy.

WORST PHONE IVE HAD
This phone is a piece of sh*t point blank. Either never lose their aux adapter of don't ever use headphones cause it won't fit. Battery life is great but that's it. Phone fell not even a foot and now it won't work. Suppose to be a "rugged" phone but can't take a slight bump. Outter case is coming off, gorilla glass SHATTERED, finger print sucks so does face recogniztion, if it wasn't for the battery then this phone would be no better than yelling at someone across town.

Don't bother.
If I could give zero stars I would. Have barely had this phone a year, and it is -literally- falling apart. It is not a phone that can rightfully be called rugged. Horrible photo quality, the battery life sucks and call quality leaves a lot to be desired. Routinely drops calls, wont load messages. Web pages will cause the screen to lock up and can only be fixed by shutting down the phone (which I have to do at least once a day). Dont waste your money.
