R2504 Car Subwoofer Amplifier, 1000 Watts, 4 Channel

The amp so far is making my speakers 🔊 work nice and loud and hard. Boss been around forever and the brand is good. No complaints on my end and the price was good . I would recommend

I bought this because I was not happy with my new JVC stereo- it did not have the power my old JVC did. Come to find out the old JVC's have a great pre-amp that the new ones lack. I still have old JVC as I still go back and forth about switching it out- only thing that stops me is new has a usb port in front that I use all the time. I bought the amp to power 4 speakers in my 02 Chevy Silverado 1500 ext cab. I have it powering four Pyramid 250 watt (each) speakers- 2 are 5x8's and 2 are 6x9's. It does a great job of boosting the midrange and highs. I went from having to turn my stereo to 16 to get a decent sound level for driving to only turning it to 3 to get the same level now. I have another Boss amp (1200 watt) hooked to my subwoofer. I will say the subwoofer control is not going to boost your sub...it will actually cut power to it. It is nice if you have someone in the vehicle that hates a lot of bass, but other than that I leave it unplugged. What some people do not realize is you have to match watts for watts. If you are trying to run 1000 watt amp to power a 800 watt sub- you will not be happy. It will get hot unless you limit the output. I had that issue when changing to a lower watt sub, the amp would get hot and turn off (I thought it was the sub turning off). I had the audio shop make some changes and now all runs cool and the music is great- OK except to the old people who can't stand the thumps and loud music coming from my truck :)

I have this amp on four 6 1/2" Pyle PLMR6kb mid-range one boss cxx8 8" sub in sealed box head unit is jvc kd-x37mbs it runs four 5" noams all in my sxs sounds great. Couldn't imagine this set up in a small truck or car. I recommend these products all from Amazon Thanks guys

Amp works good and sounds good, but quit working after 3 weeks of use. Installation was perfect, just decided to quit working. Only reason I’m giving 3 stars is because they’re replacing it for free. Overall, good value for the price compared to other brands.

EDIT 1: Only three days after installing, the unit is stuck in protection mode. Good Connections, no fuses blown, it's not the speakers and my other boss amp for the sub works fine. waiting the return and get another. If it works I will change my review back to a positive one, If it's defective too then goodbye Boss! EDIT 2: Returned the amp, got the replacement, sounds great. The rest of the story: I got my second amp which worked for about a week and fried itself along with blowing 2 of my speakers. OK, so I tried upgrading to the 1200 Watt version and it did the same thing. Got my connections checked by a professional and the amp is just plain cooking. Maybe it just gets too hot in my trunk, but thats no excuse and I have a mono block right next to it that operates just fine. Getting really tired of returning and installing amps, do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY FROM BOSS

I have only been running this amp for about two weeks, but it has performed up to expectations. I'm using it to power four 4-ohm Alpine SPS-6000 (Type-E) speakers which have an RMS of 60w each. It's all I need, even too much, for this purpose. The best feature this amp has in my opinion is the built-in crossover. Prior to this amp, I had a really, really cheap amp with no high pass filter of any kind, but now that I can keep any bass notes from going to my speakers, they are much clearer. Overall a good amp -- you get what you pay for. For mid-range interior speakers, it works well.

I would recommend these, lowered amp volume, maxed my radio, EQ and crossover a the adjusted amp volume to my preferred 'maxed' volume which for was 1/3 amp imput volume. Depending on the selections on the amp it may sound like only two channel are playing. If you hear feedback sound from this amp it is not the amp it's your wiring or alternator. Turned high pass only since i have a dedicated sun and amp tandem. There's enough power in this amp to run a 1k rms sub for sure. Fuse are 25w/2channels.

Bought this not expecting alot and it surpassed every expectation I had. Installed it in a 1969 mustang to give my speakers some more clarity and a little more bass and it's 20x better then without it. Would definitely recommend
