Works well (see additional comments), looks great. Quality is great.
When we got this, we put brand new (store brand batteries from a big box store )in the smoker. It hardly smoked at all and we thought it was defective. I contacted the company, and they were quick to respond by sending us a new smoker. The second smoker did the same thing as the first, and we thought it was just the way the product was supposed to work. Then I read online that you had to use high quality batteries for it to work properly. We purchased energizer max batteries and that did the trick. It works well and fills the dome FULL of smoke. Love it!

This is USED! I purchased new
I haven’t used it yet. I was excited about starting today.. not only was the product used.. no smoking chips to be found in the box. Pretty much useless to me today. Grrrrrr…

Great Device with One Major Flaw
There is a major flaw in the glass cover. It's the rubber piece that goes around the bottom of the glass to keep the smoke in. It keeps falling off and is extremely difficult to put back on. Without it, the smoke eeks out of the glass. I reached out to Fortessa about this and they had not solution except sending me another piece. BTW, Fortessa was amazing in customer service and one of the most helpful companies I have ever dealt with. 5 stars to them. But....I don't really use this item much because I don't have the time to spend 15 minutes getting the rubber piece back on and without it too much smoke escapes. My advise, develop a hard piece that just slides on the bottom. Otherwise, this product is well made and works great if you learn how to use the torch correctly. Takes a little bit of trial and error.

Buy new chips with it!
We thought this was broken when we first got it. Tried everything... watched videos, switched batteries, and still hardly any smoke. As a hail Mary, we tried different wood chips and BOOM. Insane smoke!! Definitely was all about the chips, be sure to buy some higher quality chips when you buy, and you'll love this smoker!

Helpful tip
Does not pull in smoke to dome when seal is on and must be slightly cracked. Took forever to figure that out…now works well.

Don't seal cloche
Definitely leave some small flow of air out of the cloche. Sealed we got minimal smale but when we broke the seal it worked great. Absolutely need a well ventilated area.
