Review: Changing my rating to 5 stars - UPDATE:I am changing my rating to 5. The picture of the grasshopper was taken in the wild with all three tubes on a Nikon D810 with a Nikon 80-400mm lens on manual focus. These tunes are sturdy and supports my heavy lens just fine. For the price they are great. They work. However you need to learn how to use them if you have not used extension tubes before. The BAD: - The 12mm tube is broken. desertcart promptly replaced the set. Now everything works. ***desertcart REPLACED THEM WITH NO QUESTIONS ASKED. THE NEW TUBES WORKS FINE. - When I use more than one tube the autofocus does not work. It searches and on rare occasions will lock on but the shutter will not release. *** DON'T USE AUTOFOCUS. IN TIME IT WILL ANNOY YOU SO BAD. MANUALL FOCUS IS MORE RELIABLE EVEN ON A MACRO LENS THAT HAS AUTOFOCUS. The build quality: They do not feel cheap to me. But they are plastic with metal bits that connect them together. I have one pretty heavy lens and I support the camera by the lens just to be safe. Dropping a $100.00 lens is not funny and I am not going to take that chance. However these extension tubes do feel pretty solid. THEY EASILY SUPPORTS A 3+ POUND LENS. I HAVE BEEN USING IT ALL TAY AND I HAD NO ISSUES. The good: - That price. Yep that price and that they work really well except the do not autofocus w\as promised. - Image quality. Judge for yourself. This is what I got. Your experience may differ depending on a lot of factors. - Build quality. For plastic they are solid and holds even my heavy 80-400mm lens. However I do support the camera by the lens because the lens is heavy. Final thoughts: You really don't want to use autofocus when doing macro photography. So manual focus is better. therefore I really cannot find any real fault with these extension tubes.
Review: Good for the money - These worked great for close up macros. The construction feels a little bit cheap, but they are basically just plastic tubes. I've seen some people complain about problems with focusing. These do have the right connections for focusing if your lens has a focusing motor in it. That being said, when you are trying to take really close in photos, you'll probably be better off using manual focus. My camera tried to focus, and sometimes it succeeded but I had better luck with manual focus. Your focusing range will also depend on your lens' focal length. It took some experimentation to figure out which tubes to use depending on the focal length and how close you want to get to your subject. If you have the wrong tube(s) for your lens/distance combination, you will not be able to focus on your subject regardless of whether you use manual or auto focus. I was using these with a Nikon d3100. It isn't always really obvious where to line these up when connecting them, but once you get it right, they connected to the camera and the lens without any problems. If I had a better lens or camera I might think about looking for an extension tube that wasn't mostly plastic, but it is hard to beat these at this price.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will these mcoplus extension tubes work with a Nikon D5600?**
A: I have a much older D60, but it seems to work fine. I cannot answer your question with confidence, but a single ri g worked on my D60. I did not "stack" multiple rings, because the smallest ring seemed to give me the magnification I wanted. When flower season starts, I will likely try more of them tovether.right out of the box I looked at three things: 1. tightness of fit...It was nice and tight. 2. Ease of mount/dismount.... a tiny bit stiff, but fine. 3. Retention of autofocus function...it worked with a single ring.
Overall, I think this is a very economical alternative to a macro lens.
I hope this helps.

**Q: Can I change the aperture from the camera?**
A: Yes. These tubes go between your camera and lens. You control your settings as usual.

**Q: I have a Nikon d3200, will I be able to use autofocus with these extension tubes? Thanks!**
A: it is use to macro ! take photo for samll productions eg. ant . which lens did u use ?

**Q: compatible with Nikon D5200?**
A: yes . it works to D5200 but which lens did you use ? normally can easy autofocus when you use 1 or 2 tubees together . it is not easy autofocus if you want to use 3tubes together.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good value
*by S***. on September 2, 2019*

I bought these because I was interested in trying out macro photography and didn't want to drop a couple hundred dollars on a lens. At $40, these were a great way to start. They work as advertised, and I haven't had any issues with auto focus on any of the lenses with which I have used them. I've tried it with my Nikon 35 mm prime lens, my Yongnuo 50 mm prime lens, and the two kit lenses that came with my camera. I attached the 70 mm - 300 mm lens to all three tubes and autofocus worked fine. Build quality is decent. They're plastic, but sturdy. The prime lenses are a bit tight when attaching, but they do click into place. The releases are OK, but it did take a little to get used to them. The first attached picture is a focus-stacked (4 images) shot of a coffee bean. I used my 35 mm lens with the 36 mm tube to get an almost 1:1 shot. I know it's a bit off in a couple of areas, but this was handheld and I was really just looking to see if the tubes worked as advertised. I'm happy to say they do. The second is taken with the 70 mm - 300 mm zoom lens at 300 mm using all three tubes.
