melt rate on these is normal. never got these when they were melted just soft in the heat...they recover quickly. Always fresh. Sugar content is relatively low if you know about good protein bars...they have 20 grams of high quality protein...higher than most bars that use soy protein. Consistency of BSN bars are exceptional. Highly recommend these as snack of on the go meal.

Usually protein bars are chalky and a reluctant necessity to hit macros . I’ve honestly never tasted something better. There’s a good amount protein in it but not a crazy amount of calories. It almost reminds me of the honeynut cereal bars I’d have as a kid. They’re delicious with the perfect balance of sweet, nutty, and a little bit salty. I find myself having one these to fuel a morning workout, snag for a lunch replacement during the day, or to help me reach my calorie or macro goals for the day. Once having one my appetite and urges are satiated and I simply find myself content, a good level of full, and not craving snacks (either salty or sweet). I got the salted toffee pretzel and I just bought a second box because they have become a part of my daily routine. Can’t sing enough praise for these bars. I wish they were a little less carbs and more protein, but for the flavor, texture, overall deliciousness factor, I’m willing to compromise on that. If your debating just buy them! You won’t regret it.
