inner edge of tub is narrow will this bar be able to rest there safely?

The diameter of the bar that rests on the tub edges is 1 3/8 inches.  The width of the flat inner edge of my tub is 1.5 inches.  So if your tub edge is 1.5 inches or more, it should work fine.  If less than 1 inch, it may not rest securely, especially if it moves a bit when person is getting in or out of chair.

Question 2

I have a daughter with cp---and is confined to a wheel chair--she is heavy about 200--lbs--is it safe for someone this size?

Hi Kay,  I loved the chair.   It was for my mom who weight about 140lb.  She was physically disabled due to arthritis and had a minor stroke  She was not frail. She also loved the chair  It is sturdy & stable. This  reduced her level of anxiety ( and her caregivers) when transiting from her wheelchair to the bathtub.  Again my mom was strong, not frail.  I think I was one of the first to purchase the chair thru Amazon.  The people who sold me the chair were so helpful both before and after I made the purchase.  I would suggest you contact them before you make the purchase with questions specific to your daughters needs.

My sister is 300 pounds will this work with her weight? She also has cerebral palsy

From a weight capacity perspective it will work because the maximum weight capacity is 330 pounds.  on the flipside it’s important to ensure that the fit will be appropriate for the individual in question,  please carefully review all of the dimensions in the line drawing that forms part of the listing thank you

Can you add spacers to make chair higher?  Any recommendations on adding seat height securely? Thanks for any recommendations

The seat height is perfect the way it is. Do not add spacers, or you will make the entire thing unstable. I have had this for two years, and I love it.
